This was a family show for me growing up. We all gathered to watch it. My favorite episode is when they had the band Anthrax as guest stars, because I was heavy into thrash metal at the the time, and they were one of my favorites.

These shows were funny. The big women at whom his insults were aimed were in many cases standup comics. When they guest starred on the show, they wrote the jokes/insults themselves. Just as the actress that played Marci not only came up with the idea of having Al call her a chicken, but also wrote many of the insults herself.

You can't have shows like that anymore because it might hurt someone feeling . And I use love watching married with children
