some good water drama going on there. These were great washers. Had an old Norge from the 1970s with a 20 lb. capacity. A very capable heavy duty machine.

LOL tightie whities in there too. Seriously though, those older washers did a lot better (and in less time) than all the new machines. I have a Samsung front loader that does ok, but still not as good as my old (and cheap) GE top loader. I am on a house with a septic system, so less water use is critical here.

wow, cool that washer seems to clean clothes really clean, as opposed to the "HE" agitator-less washers or any "HE" machine, Speed Queen top load washers and any traditional agitator washer clean very well.

Why?? Water is what cleans the clothes.. The more water there is the better chance your clothes have to m o v e all around in... More r o o m and more water = cleaner clothes.. Think of it this way if I dribbled water over a pair of dirty underwear from a tap with a drop of soap... Yeah it would be cleaner than it was... But now fill the sink up with water and soap let the underwear soak then wring them out submerge them let them soak ... Do that a few times.... Now they will be A LOT cleaner.... It's the same with how the washer will work ... More water cleaner clothes

actually there is a much water crises in the locality where I reside. I am searching for the water that donot waste the water. The mostly top loaders consumes lots much amount of water. The appropriate cleaning can be done in lesser amount. Front loading washers has the maintenance draw backs. However they are real washing machines. That not only cleans the laundary in very efficient way, but also they saves water and space.

Pat Cola# The water is actually much higher in level then the clothes needed. Frigidaire Unimatic, it has the plunger that reciprocates vertically, gives better cleaning action, it has high spinning RPM as well as it consumes less amount of water then this whirlpool. Although, there is no doubt that the Whirlpool has its own swag.

@@annasali8062 The good LORD gave us water to use and never put a stipulation on our usage of it. We give him thanks BECAUSE we can use water to clean cook, bathe...etc..etc... If I want to use a whole tub of water to clean some filthy things whose business is it but mine ? You shouldn't be concerned about anyone's water use. It is our God given blessing to have it to begin with . Jesus Christ IS the LIVING WATER ! Hallelujah!!!
