He SHOULD be considered top 5, but a lot of people don't anymore because of how stats-driven (and without consideration for context like positions, team makeup, rules changes, etc..) the debate has become. It's gotten to the point where stats are more important than winning, which was not the case at all when Magic played (and Magic absolutely sacrificed his potential stats in order to maximize his team's chances of winning, unlike certain other players who have great stats but a losing record in the finals).

After Lebron's 14th season. Michael Jordan has: •3 more rings •3 more final mvps •1 more DPOY •1 more season MVP •9 more scoring titles •3 more steals leader •3 more all defensive team selections •4000 more points / Lebron moved past him in playoff points, but it took him longer. •800 more steals •Beat 20 50+ win teams in the playoffs (Lebron only defeated 10) •Jordan never averaged less than 40% Field Goal in the finals Lebron did it twice •6/6 (never allowed a game 7) •Lebron had much more offensive help, example: Jordan never had a teammate average more than 22 points in the finals.. In fact, Mj is Only player in NBA history to lead a team to the championship with only one teammate averaging double figures in scoring * In the Bulls’ 1997 playoff run, Scottie Pippen averaged 19 points per game on 42% shooting. All other teammates of Jordan averaged under 8 points per game Kyrie averaged over 28 and DWade averaged more than 26 •MJ never ever had a finals meltdown like Lebron in 2011 against the Mavs •MJ had more points in the playoffs in less games.. MJ accomplished all of this in 13 seasons Lebron after his 14th season, is still chasing the “ghost (GOAT) that played in Chicago” •Michael Jordan in the playoffs has put up atleast 40ppg, 5rpg, 5apg in 6 different playoff series. Along with an average of about 55% shooting, 3spg and 2bpg. (86 vs bos, 89 vs cavs, 90 vs philly, 92 vs Miami, 93 vs Phoenix, 88 vs cavs) Jordan won every one of those matchups except for the 1986 matchup vs the celtics. •Jordan in 88-89 averaged 32ppg, 8apg, 8rpg, 3spg off 54% shooting. LeBron has never even came close to this stat line. •in 87 thru 92, MJ averaged 5 straight seasons of atleast 51% FG shooting. LeBron has never done this. •the lowest FT% MJ ever shot in a season was 78%. Lebrons highest in a season ever is 78%. •MJ has a higher playoff FG% of 48.7% to Lebrons 48.3% •MJ has a higher playoff player efficiency rating of 28.6 to Lebrons 27.3. •MJ shoots a higher playoff 3 point percentage of 33.2% to Lebrons 32.9% •LeBron James has scored 30 points, 416 times in 1,117 games. Michael Jordan did it 562 times in 1,072 games. Jordan won 6 championships without losing a final in 1,072 games and LeBron in 1,117 games has lost 5 times and has only won 3 times (updated 2018) •MJ also shocked the league by being the first (and only) player to have 100 blocks and 200 steals in the same season, then turned around and did it again the next year.. •Mj also has more career blocks (893) than Lebron James (853) despite playing in 22 LESS career games and being the smaller guy. Also, MJ averaged 1.6 blocks per game in the 1987-88 season which is absolutely bonkers for a 6’6″ shooting guard. Seriously this list can keep going. This isn’t even a debate. Mj is the GOAT.

No disrespect but your hopes are too high. Peace on earth is a myth that will never happen, especially with this many humans with so many different opinions. The fact that a good half are athiest, means God's peace will never exist here. "Injustice anywhere is injustice everywhere". - Martin Luther King. Jr Fear changes people. Kobe seemed immortal (and was pretty young). So people got scared, if Kobe can go at anytime........? Look how covid has people acting. We're all caring for the misfortune now, but wait until we're allowed back outside. It will be like nothing changed. LeBron was better when he first started, however Michael is the Goat because he is a God as far as basketball goes, he’s Thor with lightning in every single facet of the game and his will to win was 2nd to none. Jordan never ever gave up. LeBron while a great player just doesn’t have it, Kobe had it along with Jordan. Those two would’ve died to win a basketball game.

Michael has been out of the league for almost 20 years and been universally accepted as the GOAT for almost 4 decades now. Why do we all of a sudden have this blowup reminder that he is the greatest of all time again? I guess when you have no sports going at all, you need something to talk about. Also with Kobe's sudden passing, we realize that these legends can go at anytime, so we cling on to the greatest of them all.

Magic nailed it on the head when he said "Michael is not gonna say 'Hey, I'm the greatest player that's ever lived.'". Guess what, Lebron did that, claiming he became the G.O.A.T when he defeated the warriors coming back from a 3-1 deficit. To quote the great Tywinn Lannister: "Any man who must say 'I am the king' is no true king." Lastly, how can you claim to be the greatest when: 1. You have a losing record in the finals 3-6. 2. You had to come back from a 3-1 deficit just to win. 3. You had one of the most epic meltdowns of a superstar on a superteam in an NBA finals (vs 2011 Mavs) 4. Your team had one of the worst losing margins on average in the NBA finals despite being a "superteam" (vs 2014 Spurs)

There is no MJ vs. LeBron "debate." 6-0 in the Finals vs. 3-6 (with one coming after a lockout-shortened season) is not a debate. Carrying the team to 6 titles vs. needing bailouts from Ray Allen and Kyrie is not a "debate." Competing against the Pistons until MJ won vs. jumping ship to team up with your rival is not a "debate." Putting up mad numbers in the 80s-90s vs. playing in today's Charmin-soft era is not a "debate." MJ took two years off in the prime of his career and still accomplished more than LeBron could with five careers. No debate

While we're cherry-picking stats and narratives: * Jordan never achieved a winning record in the five seasons he didn't have Pippen. Even in his second injury year they were 9-9 with him. * The Bulls won 56 games and got to the second round the first season without Jordan, then when Jordan rejoins this clearly-stacked team they lose before the Finals. * All three teams LeBron has left took big setbacks the season immediately afterward, two of the three going from 61 wins and a Finals appearance, respectively to 19 wins each. * LeBron in beating the Dubs won a chip with a team worse than any that Jordan ever won with against a squad better than any team Jordan ever faced. * LeBron at age 35, an age Jordan wasn't even in the league, is leading his team in +/- and the second-best record in the league (bonus: the Lakers are 5-2 in games that LeBron played and AD missed).

@@jadebaquio5860 Probably spend some more time and look at the winning record of those teams. Those teams are not pushovers. I don't know what you're trying to achieve here. Jordan's and the Bulls' legacy is already cemented. The Bulls dominated an era (90s) where a lot of players make the top 50.

Most complete player ever... LeBron james Best player ever.. Offense defense.. Michael jordan.. It's that simple.. And I will always pick the all around player over anyone.. LeBron james is my all time favorite.. Idc what anybody says.. He's the best in my eyes.. Lets just appreciate all the greats.. Theyve done what others can't... Players are different.. Fans are different.. Don't hate just acknowledge and appreciate what they done. Inside and outside the court.. They are the icons of basketball
