M.S.Subbalakshmi was a renowned Carnatic vocalist. She was the first musician ever to be awarded the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honor. She is the first Indian musician to receive the Ramon Magsaysay award, often considered Asia's Nobel Prize in 1974.

Please do not use the word Lord - that comes from the west - Christianity & Islam view God as a Master - Lord & Master - these are Master/Slave religions down on their knees begging the master for mercy with fear That is not us We are Children of God - God Rama is our Father, mother Sita is our Mother - it is inappropriate for children to use such words as a slave might use

I can listen BHAJA GOVINDAM infinite times...she touches my soul. Amma here is Goddess. Southern India is culturally very rich but people are really simple and nature loving. I feel proud to an Indian.

Amma showed us the path to God through her music. Her mesmerizing songs can be listened to anytime. I salute Amma for also teaching us how not to be proud and egoistic by being an example herself. Please don't say Sairam. You are insulting the very Sanatana dharma by bringing in names of people who have nothing to do with Vedic culture. Sairam is not a Vedic or Hindu deity - please clear this confusion. I know a lot of people who have become victim to the cult of Saibaba.. They have created shlokas and chants using his name - this is incorrect and dangerous. Please consult a guru or someone from the major peethams kindly.

Daily in the morning my father s.koteswar play this song withthe help off him my son also learn too play son off devotional songs inthe morning name E.Dinkar .god giffted sweet voice to our south indian legendary Subbu Lakshmi ji.may peace in heaven and my father also no more to us 🙏

Whenever I listen to this legend I realise that she has the unique ability of transporting the listener to different level. I feel like in my Pooja room. Such is her divinity ! It is with great satisfaction that I treasure my visit to see her in Kotturpuram house just a couple of years before her departure. She was as usual graceful. Magnanimous, very soft in her brief conversations and kindness personified. She is a rare gem.

Amma's divine, clean, clear and smooth voice has the power to sooth any soul. She was great and blessed soul who faced the toughest challenges head on and succeeded against all odds. Any lesser soul would have given up, but not Amma. Just listening her classical music bring me immense joy. No matter how many times I listen, it remains refreshingly new to me. R.I.P. Amma ... Miss you forever.

Great composition by Shri Shri Adi Shankar , an incarnation of the Lord Shiv. I fact, this Sanskrit Gem is an eye opener for the laymen involved in worldly deeds (Karmas).
