Nice video. It7 been up over a year but I haven’t seen it before. You’ve picked some of my favorite JR decks. JR has been so prolific this past year releasing beautiful new decks that half of your Top-10 for me has changed. His Tigers deck I think is now my favorite especially the one in the “match box”. #2 is Maduro. That’s the cigar box styled deck that also comes with a special hard box. The Tigers and the Maduro go hand in hand: Light up your cigar LOL. Those are my one and two right now. Others are the two Olive Edition Tally Ho decks, the new Thoroughbred deck, and the Handbuilt Motorcycle Show. I’m not sure why I like the Handbuilt deck so much. It’s a more simple tuck than most JR decks but the gold on red hand holding the blow torch for some reason grabs me. JR is a very talented and creative young man who seems to be a jack of many trades. He has a huge following today albeit in the Playing Card Collector Community. I wonder if in 150 years if he and his decks will be recognized and treasured as works of art. Think of someone walking through a museum in the year 2150 stopping to look at this deck of cards displayed in an air-tight display and saying, “I recognize that deck. It’s a Jackson Robinson”. It could happen.

Good video, David! 10. Liberty - are on my way - clean back design, cool jokers and ace. 9. Legal Tender - don't have them - very nice back design, even better jokers and ace, great court cards. 8. Wasteland - not sure if I'll ever get them - tuck case and back design is not appealing to me, but court cards are actually fine, yet jokers and aces are again not my cup of tea. 7. Civil War - got them quite recently - calm and nice tuck case, great pair of jokers (that don't work that well alone, sadly), good ace, interesting court cards. 6. Continental & The Crown - don't have them yet - good-looking tuck cases, lovely back designs. 5. Sherlock Holmes - don't have them yet - gorgeous tuck cases, beautiful back designs, good/great (depending on the version) court cards, super cool jokers and aces. 4. Tally-Ho No. 13 - don't have them yet - very nice take on Tally-Ho No. 9 Circle Back design, great ace of spades similar to the original, finally some good-looking joker in Tally-Ho deck (I wish it was in the original ones), and looking almost as old ones but much prettier court cards. 3. 52 + Joker - don't have them yet - interesting tuck case, back design and cool ace. 2. Texas - don't have them yet - simple and minimal back design, tuck case is elegant indeed, jokers are admirable, aces are not as good, but still fun to look at, just like the court cards. 1. Federal 52 - don't have them yet, and seeing how many variants there are, I'll possibly never own all of them - tuck cases are nice, back designs are better, jokers and aces are very good, but court cards are simply fabulous. To reorder them to my taste I would need to own them all and look at them closely. Sometimes it's hard to balance things (they have various strong and weak points) and depending on the use case (i.e. playing, magic, cardistry or maybe something else?) they could be placed in different spots. For playing I think that Federal 52 look like the best, mostly because of great set of jokers, aces and court cards, while still having very nice back designs. I would possibly enjoy the most keeping exactly these cards in hands and looking at them during play. Ok, another long comment from me, like it used to be sometimes months ago. ;)

I'm liking the Robin Hood deck! That's my #1. I guess that probably wasn't released until after you made this video.

I love kings wild, and all the work Jackson does! Great list. Although designed by Brendon Hong, the hive decks were released through the kings wild, and were quite beautiful IMO. I wonder out those would be on a different list?? 😉😉
