It’s amazing that they managed to make an accurate figure with a real grill instead of a faux grill, especially at this scale!

@@ramilmendoza5392 tbh, cuz of the fact I need to transform them, I've never bought a 3rd party figure or masterpiece cuz 1. I don't have enough money and 2. I scared to damage something cuz I've never messed with one

The paint looks really, really great. The transformation is so impressive considering the size. You are 100% correct about Prime and Megatron when it comes to scale/complexity and detail. There are few figures out there that put this amount of engineering and detail into toys this small. Super impressive.

The head feels a bit too small and far backward but for a legend's scale figure it's still very impressive

Yes, the head is a little small and the lower part of the legs seem a bit large. But still very good overall design.

if there scale is legends than for a unicron figure it should be a regular size voyager or leader to be huge compared to the bots :)

There's no CHUG-scale Masterpiece style figures... People need to understand that there is a market for it. However, I also understand, because then they'd be directly competing with Hasbro...

@@TornaitSuperBird That's the problem though. Without any competition, Hasbro still puts out a lot of weak or half-assed figures. Sure they are making better figures but they still take lots of short cuts with hollow parts and forearm gaps. Have you noticed that for almost every figure Hasbro has made lately, customizers have released add on or upgrade kits that are pretty much needed to make these figures better? The figures end up costing more in the end when you buy these kits. I would rather have a 3rd party do it right and pay a little more for a more complete figure than give Hasbro money for something that I know they could have done better.

You're definitely right about the transformation. But I love the fact he's all crime painted that's what stood out the most to me personally I don't mind complex transformations.

I mean it’s a nice Optimus prime nice fan made one I’m impressed. What looks to be like a deluxe size but the articulation of a Masterpiece in a smaller package. But it’s missing the side windows in the side doors which is kind of odd for me. But I am satisfied with my MP 10 that I have.

I like the truck grille is truly used as the body section. Very nice. Many other toy version of Optimuses fake his truck grille when transforming.

Transforms almost identical to Light of Freedom. Guess MS is getting a lot of mileage out of that mold and its scales. Not that I'm complaining, I think it had a great transformation, very clean and simple.

the mp scale one is definitely upscaled from this mold i know it released first but MS is known for legends scale and this has no doubt been planned first

This is the first time I heard of Magic Square. I am impressed. I did not think it would transform. The robot mode is better than Hasbro's; and their last few Prime toys have improved significantly. But the back is very clean; no giant backpack or extra parts. And the paint job is great; it doesn't look like cheap plastic. It is too bad the matrix can't stay inside, but room is not an option on this figure. This is around 4" and Hasbro is around 6 or 7" , but it looks smaller. But this is a great toy.

He looks amazing and I have the Magic Square Megatron so I do really want an Optimus in the same scale, but as others have said, I'd be too worried about chipping that paint job, plus considering Megs is mostly plain grey plastic, I'm not sure they'd actually pair up too well.

btw you can make him look up and down. pull up the head slightly and use the transformation joint. It isn't actually terrible looking either.

Love that so much very nice metallic on that love the figure what would you favourite transformer is mine is bumblebee the last night version because it is very nice and the way the chest of bumblebee looks very nice and the car mode is awesome 👍😁

I had this on preorder, because finding a G1 prime without the silver stripes along the sides of the cab is the holy grail. I cancelled it, however, because I noticed the yellow detailing on the arms and the fact that he has no crotch(like a G.I.Joe that got stepped on). I'll wait for Newage to up the ante.

If I may, with NewAge David, it's possible to store his weapons/accessories in the real wheel base/section under the trailer (just like on Takara's MP-44, full-size Prime). Is this Magic Square capable of doing that? It seems like there might be enough room down there... 🤔
