How to wait in NO LINES at Magic Kingdom & FREE SNACKS! Disney After Hours Event

We went to Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom. After Hours is a separately ticketed event that Disney puts on at the parks that gets you 3 extra park hours where the park is open just for event guest meaning you get to enjoy the park with extreme low crowds! We found with this event you can wait in no lines for most Magic Kingdom rides and attractions!
I would recommend this event for maybe a night of your vacation that you don't buy a standard park ticket and instead enjoy a resort day and then go to this event in the evening. You can get in with your ticket as early as 7 at Magic Kingdom and enjoy bonus park time before the event starts.
This event also has free snacks such as novelty ice creams like Mickey ice cream bars and popcorn as well as sodas and water bottles!

I have visited all of the Disney Parks in the United States: Disneyland, California Adventure, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom! It is my dream to one day visited all the international Disney Parks as well! My travel interests also go beyond the Disney Parks, I love vlogging my cruise vacations and trips to all-inclusive resorts!
I am from Pennsylvania and grew up in a small town outside of Philadelphia. My dream is to soon relocate to the Orlando area and live near Disney!

I grew up going to Disney every year and it's near and dear to my heart. You are so blessed to be able to pop in whenever you want! I'm coming in September but it looks like they aren't offering an after hours event then.

Thank you for bringing us along! We did this for the delux resort extended hours. My daughter and I went on Mine Train over and over. You don’t get food, but a night at a resort. I would guess if there are four people, depending on what resort you stay at, I think it would be a good deal. If you ever get the opportunity, it would be a fun comparison.

I did the MK after hour event in April! I loved it! I want to do DHS next because I feel with it being a smaller park you can ride everything you want and be able to enjoy yourself a little more. My only complaint was the transportation at night when the event was over. I was staying at the Grand and the monorail and resort boats weren’t running. So we had to take a bus that dropped off at all the MK monorail resorts plus TTC, so didn’t get back to the room until 2 AM. Didn’t want to walk back to the Grand after a long day and at that late of an hour!

I did the Studios one a couple years back since I didn’t have a park ticket. Got everything done but you beat me on snacks, I ran out of time! The Osmo looked really good for the fireworks and Peter Pan! I’ve totally done that with bottled soda before 😅

They used to do extended hours and early park entry for resort guests back in the day and mom and I did that quite often. I am glad your friends got to enjoy the extra magic hours with you. Cant beat the free food especially the ice cream bars. I am glad yours made it safely back home. As always Meg another Awesome vlog!!😊

I was at that event a few weeks ago. I went through 6-7 bottles of soda and a few ice cream bars 🤢 . When I was leaving I had a least 2-3 soda bottles in my bag to take home - gotta get your monies worth 🤭 - I would say overall the after hours event is a good way to get a lot of low wait rides done in a few hours without the sun blasting down on you.

Did u ever see Inside Out 2 yet?! If not definitely go see it! Especially if enjoyed enjoyed the first one. A great comeback for Disney after a rather lackluster year for them last year at the box office.

How long were other wait times? Like for Tron for example. To be honest the 25 min Peter Pan wait was longer than I would have thought. Just went to MK July 2 and Peter Pan was 25 min wait for us at 1030am.

You should try using a slower frame rate and pair that with a slower shutter speed try slowing your shutter speed to 1 over 50 of a second and then try to set your frame rate to 24 fps in order for the best low light performance.
