Pls don't call this an "AU" what an AU is, there must me a small details being added (or head cannons) without changing the whole character. alternative universe. Meaning it still has to resemble the OU (Original Universe) and if it doesn't then it's not an AU. If too much is changed then it's a completely different thing and you might as well make your own OCs. criticism is expected and if you don't like that then don't put it onto the internet.A lot of the examples I used to explain how something is not an AU are harmful. Shadowsglitch is just awful in so many ways, their "AU" is incredibly harmful and little research has been done. The guy that calls himself William has one of the worst "AUs" I have ever seen and the creator is awful, he begs people to ship his "OC" (There is literally nothing original about it) with other people's characters and gets angry with people if they treat Elizabeth badly. Ennard "AUS" really don't need an explanation, it's justifying something by completely changing FNAF lore, some are worse than others.AU is not a gacha term, it's a term the community took from writers. There have always been limitations when using the term. A lot of gacha FNAF videos are just simply not AUS because they change the original cannon so much that it could be a separate thingThis is the internet, if you post something then someone will criticise it and by changing lore I mean changing it so much that it could be something else. Examples from two channels (I will not name them. Minus the first one because honestly the guy is awful) Example 1: Someone's Oc is literally William Afton but they call themselves Maxence, they are not spring trap and are instead a warrior cats oc. They command other warrior cats ocs and are dating Natsuki from DDLC, who is Mrs Afton and Mrs Afton's sister. Due to this they always ask for people to make ship videos of their OC and thst person's character that is the sister of Mrs Afton. Whenever someone makes a video bashing on Elizabeth he will harass that person. Oh and CC is literally a Sans version of golden Freddy This is a prime example of something that is no longer an AU Example 2: Micheal Afton is an UWU softboy and Ennard is not possessed by his sister or the other fun time animatronics, he is possessed by Noah. Noah is a literal murder and helps comfort Micheal when he found out that his dad killed people. Noah is also a yandere and the relationship is pretty toxic. The channel changed so much lore to make Micheal seem soft, this includes CC's death and Ennard killing Micheal so they can be together and not to escape. Another example of an AU that is not an AUs can be ok if certain things don't change. Mennard for example is awful and should never be in an AU, if you have to change lore to ship it then that's just too far. I do ignore a lot of FNAF AU videos, commenting wise but certain ones I just can't not say something. Shadowsglitch is awful and has done pretty bad videos (Aftons have disabilities for 24 hours was just no) but some AUs just ignore, yeah it may be bad but it's not harmful.
