Sigue Sigue Sputnik liandola en el plató de Prado del Rey, antes de su actuación en Tocata ^^. Este grupo británico de llamativo look cyberpunk(a lo Blade Runner xDDD), alcanzo bastante popularidad, en la Primavera de 1986, gracias a su "Love Missile F1-11": tema que fue nº3 en el Reino Unido, y nº1 en España.
Ana Arce introduce al grupo, antes de ser entrevistados por Jose Antonio Abellán y Silvia Abrisqueta.

Yo coincidía muchísimo con el cantante por la calle y los garitos antes de hacerse famoso, en el Londres de los ´80. Qué época, Diosss.

¡Dios mío! Vi este programa en directo siendo una niña. Recuerdo perfectamete estar viéndolo en el sofá del cuarto de estar de la casa de mis padres. Recuerdo que me impresionó el look y la actitud de esta gente. Me sorprendía el contraste del look de la chica del grupo con el del cantante. Esa cresta y esa forma de dirigirse a los entrevistadores... pensé, si el día de mañana tengo que entrevistar a un señor así, me muero (quería ser periodista musical ya de pequeña).

pero es que esto no era gracioso , era muy conceptual , mezclar publicidad, con musica con la fanfarroneria de Malcolm Mclaren como un producto hipercapitalista revestido de sexo trans, diversión, tecnlogía , ciberpunk, , y musicalemtne mezclar glam rock y punk con electronica y dub, un cruce imposible entre Donna Summer, Marc Bolan , NY DOlls, Suicide, King Tubby,Elvis, Fueron flipantes

They didn't play anything, just electronics, I prefer Billy Idol, the clash, Ramones or" PUNK ROCK;

If you mean they use computers like Depeche Mode that's not true. In the 80's they were legit. The energy was human. Except TV use to force bands to mime. So you have to find full live shows to see them play legit. Neal is on standard electric guitar. Tony is on bass guitar hooked to an effect for the electric sound. They had 2 drummers on electric drums, actual drum sets. The bass and drums play together like a machine but live shows do go off beat sometimes. The Clash used a drum machine for every track on Cut The Crap, that was around this time, so I think SSS wanted that but chose to do it with real drummers. Except Clash tried to make the Drum machine sound real, while SSS tried to use real drummers to make it sound electric. The fakeness aspect is part of their act to make it look easy and modern. They hurt their own credibility to alot of people. Don't let Sputnik fool you, they're actually a legit rock band. 🎸
