I have never been more wrong about the power level a card than with Ocelot Pride. Coming into the set, I put it as a D level card but it's turned out to be the second best card in the entire set behind Guide of Souls. Modify this creature and win the game.

but i agree with you, i think this card would be better if when the player that casted loses the coinflip it should do nothing or something weak, then it would be more balanced cause it woould be a high risk high reward card, but even when you lose you get to counter the spell which is already good, not a great design.

Ocelot Pride's 73.5% OH WR is certainly one of the funniest stats I've ever seen on 17lands (although not that surprising.)

I had a really fun black/white deck with Ocelot, that 1/3 creature that drains when a token goes to the graveyard, and the goblin that sacs creatures for treasure. It was surprisingly good.

I recorded this video after 3 days of driving from Washington to Las Vegas. I was super tired, got a sunburn from the drive, and that Invert Polarity was just the icing on the cake!

Regarding the computer fan, it happened to me before that a wire was touching the fan and it made a noise until I moved the wire out of the way. That would be my guess too. Luckily I built my own computer so I was comfortable doing that and it was an easy fix.

Bad beats with the reverse polarity. I once had an opponent Invert Polarity a bestow card I was bestowing on my creature, they won the flip but my Nyxborn Hydra was still bestowed on my creature boosting its power and granting trample.

Ive found wither and bloom usually plays a better role in most black decks as the 1/1 counter synergy works really well with what black wants to do in RB GB and WB. Also it gets around some of the shield/indestructible effects in the set

I’ve been impressed by sylvan safekeeper. If you have a bomb like ocelot pride to protect I think it’s great.

Hot take I like the Invert Polarity design…over the years the variance in mtg has gone way down (London mull, hand smoothing, incidental scry, MDFC-type mechanics, etc), it’s ok with me if they introduce some of it back in the form of a splashy rare. If it happens you just tip your cap, say gg move onto the next game. Beats the heck out of drawing land after land and getting beaten by a 1/1
