Well at 1:47 seconds if you will watch at .25 or .5x speed you could spot the folded card at the bottom of the deck in David's left hend and how gracefully he switched the teared card from his right hand and moved the entire deck in his right hand hide the teared card and put the folded card into the hand of the other guy.

For the last week I've been watching all David Blaine videos available, including interviews. This one was definitely the best on the interviewer's part. He was so sincere in his interest and made David open about his childhood. Nobody was trying to outshine David with unfunny remarks. It was an amazing interview, thank you KTLA 5.

If you watch close you can see when he picked up the pieces but gave the reporter a folded card. Very smooth even the camera misses it if you don't know what you're looking at

Kittens good observation. Then right after you see he puts the deck of cards in the hand with the pieces but slides the folded one out from underneath and puts it in his hand making sure he closes it quick not to reveal it’s already folded. Wow. Talk about controlling the audiences attention!

I appreciate the fact that you're trying to find out but this is a rework of one of his best card tricks that got really popular and ended up being revealed publicly so maybe try not to reveal it and if you well not so directly man.
