Wizards, I know you won’t ever read this, but on the minuscule chance you do, please, more of this type of format. Literally every archetype is playable: good aggro, midrange, control, and combo decks AND multiple versions of those archetypes are all playable. Was abzan a bit better? Yes, but I’d kill for this play experience again. To take my own take on a world championship winning deck to my first ever undefeated at FNM again

Sometimes, you just need to topdeck all your Planeswalkers. Still, what a great match. McLaren played that mirror so well, he knew exactly what was up at all times.

Wow. At first I thought that Ashiok was actually helping clear a bunch of nonsense off the top of Yamamoto's deck... but then I realized I severely underestimated how much nonsense there was to clear.

UW heroic, Boss Sligh, Jeskai Combo, there's lots of viable decks that players on a budget can win with. But MTG is a hobby and like any other hobby it costs money. A photographer with a $5000 camera is going to take better pictures then one with a $50 digital camera from walmart. Fact of life.
