There’s 9 chapters and I sat through 3 of them. If a story doesn’t hook you by 1/3 of the way through you don’t deserve my attention.

At this point in my life if something isn’t interesting I’m just not going to engage with it. I enjoyed the gameplay but the story was one I’d heard a million times and didn’t find interesting.

He can do whatever he wants, dude. Also, he's NOT requesting his viewers to wait for a price drop, he's suggesting it. In fact, at the time he posted this video, the game is already on sale on the eShop and PS Store, as in a launch discount for the next few days. Even discounted, they can still make back the money they've spent on it thanks to the 2 platforms they're supporting, considering the small budget spent overall. People might grab it digitally on sale right now, maybe they'll buy physical copies at full price to give their support to the developer, who knows. Hell, physical copies will eventually get permanent price drops in the next few weeks/months IF the publisher and the developer deemed it a commercial failure and might give it one last shot at a heavily cut price to recoup the development cost.

In the end, it's completely up to him to decide and why comments on these videos are allowed, so we can all express our opinions to one another.

I respect your opinion but I’m going to be honest on this channel. My honesty with this audience is more important than a developer’s bottom line. I’m not going to tell people to buy a game at full price if I don’t believe it’s worth it. And if a developer can’t provide the value at full price then that’s their problem not mine.

The success of a game is not his responsibility. If a developer can't provide enough worth for the asking price then that's their fault and it's his right to state as such. This attempt at guilt tripping him is very uncalled for.

That's what doesn't sit right, and I don't think you understand how detrimental it is to small developers when someone with a significant amount of followers comments in this way. You could have conveyed everything in your review and allowed viewers to make up their own mind (maybe they would have decided to wait for a lower price anyway) without advising on delaying for a big discount. If even 5% of your followers were going to buy the game now and instead listen to you and wait for the game to hit $20, that's $40,000 to 60,000 lost. A tiny amount for a company like EA or Activision, but it makes all the difference to a 16-person developer and their publisher. The best reviews are honest (as yours are) in so far as they point out the positives and negatives of the game allowing the viewer to make up their own mind. I look forward to your future videos, and keep up the good work otherwise.
