The Magmasaur is a new creature available in ARK: Genesis. It is a huge tanky fire lizard that is capable of spitting lava at its enemies causing them to burn. This guide will show you a couple of great ways of getting the eggs of the magmasaur in the lava biome of Genesis. there is a trick to make it so easy it is laughable. The magmasaur can be used as a tank by taunting enemies to it. it can also serve as a furnace that can smelt metal in its inventory. This big boy can do it all!

Phil my dude, you missed an attack! First you can charge your lava spit to 100% which does much more damage and increases the size of the spit. You'll find the spit charges much faster in lava aeras and not at all during snow storms. Also, If you charge your spit and hit crouch (or C by default I think) while charging, you will bombard the area around you with explosive nodes. Perfect to do after you hit space and taunt everything. Love your guides! Cheers, brother.

And the bombard thing doesnt have a cool down so even if the charge is at 1% you can do it, meaning you can just spam the move

If you charge up the spit attack, cancel your spit, and then do the taunt you put out a bunch of poison gas.

all attacks and features: (IMORTANT: you can feed it stone to regen food very quick, 30 stone can go for an entire food bar, then use raw normal meat for the best healing) Hold right click: charge spit, release to shoot, left click to keep your charge and do burn dmg to all nearby things when charged, you can press C to grenade attack space: taunt (rage buff) left click: bite/slash when charged, you cannot be frozen, (eg managarmr) you are immune to the volcano eruption while mounted you can turn on the forge via the interaction menu it reduces the wieght of lot's of diffrent rescources by a lot replaces anky, doedic and beaver, but not for flint

Another thing, I experimented and the Magmasaur can survive in the volcano during the eruption. Your screen will be red but you will receive no damage as long as you're in the cockpit of your magmasaur

It is worth noting that you can get the magmasaur saddle much earlier than level 95 by doing missions. I've been getting it semi-reliably from the "Home is where the pouch is" escort mission in the arctic, which shouldn't be to hard for anyone to do aslong as they have a decent combat mount

@@JJEverettRose basically any decent combat mount will work for gamma. I used a bread bloodstalker, but a detox, saber, daeodon, really anything that can fight should do it

@@JJEverettRose I use a Ferox. After you get a replicator and a mining drill/anky you can farm lots of element shard on the volcano pretty easily

You can also use like 3 high lvl dimetrodons with like 350-400% melee dmg and that will hatch you any egg.

After coming back to Ark after 2 years this is definitely my new go to channel for taming and info on new mechanics because its straight to the point and everything you want to know is highlighted. Thank you once again... the net fishing video was a big help especially xD

Lovely extra tip, uncryo an Oviraptor when you get to the nest and put it on follow, watch the oviraptor casually pick up something larger than it and hold it out for you to take and grab it. Laugh maniacally at the fact that the Magmasaur don't care that you now have an egg. Does require you to be a bit away from the Magmasaur so the ovi doesn't aggro them. You may want to lure them to another end of the pit with some rifle fire before you go down.

It’s all of them, it’s just made in a sperm whales digestive tract so if the whale poops Tor vomits, ambergris comes out

A quick tip to help anyone raise magmasaurs, you can increase the time b4 ambergris spoils by putting preserving salt either in the magmasaurs inv or in the fridge with the ambergris in it

wth why all these youtubers have that easy, when i bring a blood stlaker there are freaking 50 magmasaurs waiting for me. and they start to agro on me as soon as i step inside that cave. i took 1 egg and got nuked by 50 of them

BABA1 I think they destroy them before filming to show you how. I agree, I just walk I. That cave and gets swarmed hard by everything never mind make it down to crevice

The spawning in there seems dependent on how long you are in the cave. I tried to avoid all fighting in there by running past with the bloodstalker. If you get hung up fighting you'll get quickly swarmed. But there was no trickery in my video, what was in there was what I saw.

@@MittGaming the best way i got eggs was going there naked with med brews and a lot of sleeping bags, parachute down take eggs. hide behind rock and tp and hope i dont die

Yes on official there are dozens of magmasaurs in a single pit area. Everytime I attempt for an egg they start shooting at me before im low enough to even get hit by their fireballs.

feeding it stone fills it food bar with hundreds at a time, it doesn't heal them tho, so feed like 15 stone for full food, and then normal raw meat for healing (prime gives less hp)

The saddle makes you immune to pretty much anything. Even the heat of an erruoting vulcano. You can charge your right click up to shoot a mega ball of lava. Or you can press C to do a 360 attack. Or simply click left click after ccharging up. And you automatically burn everything that comes close to you.

On the topic of the mining drill... For me the thing NEVER mines anything but stone from those rocks. I have to use a mining pick to get Ambergris, Element, etc, from those rocks in the Lunar Biome.

Pretty sure its better had a 600% melee anky and a 190% melee magmar and the magmar was out doing it by far

This sounds good but not feasible on offical cause magma spawn in by the dozen I've been there alot they swarm the nest you have to be super lucky to find a nest with no magma around and they aggro from long ways I can stand on side of ledge and they aggro me

It's the best way what you showed but I got lucky because a I know a nest who respawn fast and there's only max 5 magma so I always got 2 eggs or more and now I got a magma army

The nest is usually full of magmasaurs and their agro range is pretty big, so that last method would not work, at least for me playing in official pve pc

Anyone knows how much time do you have to escape the volcano after getting a notification that it's about to erupt? And are those eruptions random or there's a pattern of sort like the surface in aberration?

I just use the Ferox and pump is health and melee. Health brews and Kill the Magmasaurs :). Then its free eggs and look at which levels work. I just hate the volcanic eruption portion. Surprised people don't explain that part.

Honeslty rock drake eggs were way harder to get. I spent over a day trying to find an easy method to do it and had lost so many karkinos, etc that I just threw my hands up and walked away from that one. lol.

Two mate boosted megas go down the ramp, kill all rockdrakes u can see before taking egg, climbing hook up to nest, take egg, parachute down, Run, high lvl megalosaurs will kill any rock drake np.

Of course the length of time of the incubation will vary depending on the level of the egg? What means this by "Of course"? This has never happened with eggs in ark before, so have can that be an ofcourse

Usually you have to get close to the nest to actually see the egg. I had this problem too. It's like it has a close proximity render distance.

It is very cool but in not boosted servers you cant raise them bc the amber weights 5 and the maga thing cant carry that and will starve before it can carry it so we need wait for a patch. :(

There are still a lot of golems, which are badly killed by Rex, you also have a limited time between volcanic eruptions. And to clean the cave is not very fast)

Tbh this cool but u can just start the race outside the cave bring a tribe mate have him knock u off the the dodic when. It spawns then he gets on goes In The cave on the Dodic the Magmasaur wont Aggro u until u dismount and grab egg but when u do u want whoever started the race outside to run away from the mission to get the person in the cave to tp outside to were the race started with egg safely you welcome

@@gusi4474 your not lying it is not as easy as these single server videos their putting out lol..altho i know their trying to help with advice but the magmas always like 50 deep around every nest and they aggro miles away...their aim with that freaking blast seems %100 accurate lol..so i know the struggle
