I still remember that rainy day mid April of 94. Instead of going to my friend's house I stayed in with my younger brother and spent a good 5+ hours exploring through his Super Metroid game. The two of us had built up so much anticipation from all the progression we were practically living the game. I believe his palms were sweatier than mine even though I was playing the game...and then we saw the Ridley head entrance at the beginning of lower Norfair. Upon riding the elevator down and hearing the music switch we were mesmerized and I had to pause my gameplay to listen. The power ballad tune along with its crescendo made the hair on my neck stand up stronger than any prior video game goosebump experience. It's music like this that burns in your memories and rekindles that childhood fire that you'll always cherish for a lifetime. Thank you for triggering that wave of nostalgia, awesome adaptation!

I played Super Metroid for the first time in 2020 and I was blown away. I absolutely loved Metroid Prime when I was a teenager, and really liked the gba games. But there is something about SM that makes it stand above most games in the series and..most games in general. The music, the passive storytelling, the world design, progression, sequence breaking, advanced moveset... being a long time gamer I have trouble finding a game with the same depth and attention to detail. Anyway, I can't imagine how crazy I would have gone if I played it younger. And even if I walked through Magmoor caverns way before I took that LN elevator, I see Lower Norfair when I listen to this masterpiece.

Seriously this remix is phenomenal! There was actually a meme of the question "Isn't wierd that you're an adult that likes video game music" followed by "I don't like it... I love it!" and I gave Rozen a shout out as well.

I was 8 years old when i first played this game. good god i love this franchise, and thank all the gods for its semi revival as a serious franchise when Dread came out and showed people that samus does not need to talk to be a badass. but dread took her one voice line and just turned it up to bloody 11!
