Magnesium comes in many different forms. Today, I want to cover magnesium threonate or magnesium L-threonate.
This is a specific type of magnesium. Threonate transports magnesium across the blood-brain barrier to the hippocampus.
The hippocampus is involved in memory, learning, focus, and concentration. People typically take magnesium L-threonate when they want to support the brain.
A magnesium deficiency can lead to various issues related to the brain and throughout the body.
Benefits of magnesium L-threonate:
• It may help reduce worry and anxiety (especially when trying to sleep)
• It may help decrease neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration
• It’s a calcium regulator and antagonist
• It helps maintain and support the blood-brain barrier
• It can act as an antioxidant
• It helps support BDNF
• It may help with androgenic alopecia
If you want to use magnesium to support the brain, I would use magnesium threonate. To support other issues like cramping or fatigue or to support the heart, I would take magnesium glycinate. Magnesium citrate can be helpful as well, especially to help prevent kidney stones.

This doctor needs to be cloned and put into every medical school to re-educate doctors with correct information about health. @OleFalla ... Unfortunately, nearly ALL "Medical School programs" (whether State-run or private) are "controlled by" BIG PHARMA as "they" provide the "curriculums" that are taught from in their courses. ONE "glaringly suspicious aspect" of the INDOCTRINATION of those "Medical students" is the FACT that almost NONE of them are given any "nutritional information." In the distant past, the students were previously provided at least a WEEK'S WORTH of nutritional countenance (dietary relevance to REAL HEALTH), but, now, most ONLY receive ONE DAY of nutritional instruction. The "allopathic medical" students are absolutely TRAINED (indoctrinated) to be legal "synthetic pharmaceutical drug pushers." Allopathic literally means "synthetic." John D. Rockefeller was the "progenitor" of the "synthetic petroleum-based pharmaceutical industry" and, J.D. Rockefeller very cunningly devised the now widely accepted "Western medical (allopathic) system" which is mostly fraudulent and NOT based on actually keeping you "healthy." Since 2015, over 150 U.S. "Holistic/Homeopathic" Physicians have been murdered or died under VERY suspicious circumstances. Needless to say, there is an INTENSE AGENDA to silence those who know the TRUE FACTS about the path to "GENUINE Health."🤨

Thanks for another short informative video. Following another of your videos on Magnesium Glycinate I decided to try taking it as a supplement, with unexpected results. For over 50 years I have suffered from a recurring nightmare, at least one or two times a week. It was brought on by an extremely stressful episode in my early twenties. I always assumed it was a form of 'post traumatic stress disorder' and I would just have to live with it disturbing my sleep. Within days of starting to take Magnesium Glycinate the nightmares stopped and have not returned! A very unexpected outcome, but very welcome.

what is said is this type of magnesium and that it can in the long run be difficult to stop as a sort of withdrawal. the other problem is that it acts on the gaba and glutamate joint which ultimately could in the long run lead to more disregulation, especially in people who are already sensitive. the only way to act on gaba is time, sleep, a good nutritional intake and non-chemical aids such as sport, meditation or yoga for example. but so much the better if it helps someone

FYI this L-threonate helped if not fixed my restless leg syndrome which was triggering seizures. Too bad it’s not covered by the insurance 🤷

I’ve started taking a bunch of supplements a couple of months ago to improve my general health and my eczema. Magnesium is the one that had the most tangible effect on my body. Less lower back pain, better sleep, less stress. I also recommended to a colleague and their chronic back problems are essentially gone as well! It’s remarkable really.

@@daniabaezavithar60 Bisglycinate, a modified form of Glycinate which is even more absorbable from what I understand but they’re both essentially the same thing. No food has this form of magnesium - it's a purely innovative synthetic form of magnesium that was created with a explicit intent of nurishing the neural tissue in the brain with magnesium (something which is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to achieve with modern food stuff).

@@jeanpaultongeren125 Magnesium is found in foods of course - but Magnesium L-Threonate is synthetic as it can only be created in the laboratory. You can't find Magnesium L-Threonate in foods.

My boyfriend just bought this for me to help my post partum depression and I didn’t notice how much sleep I haven’t gotten since my baby was born. I would be up all night and such a light sleeper. Now I sleep through the night and almost don’t wake up for feedings! My baby wakes me up by slapping my face and screaming when she is hungry😂 I used to be awake for hours after a feeding every night. But now I go right back to sleep! Crazy!

Hi, Dr Berg. Can I please request you to make a video explaining the crest syndrome? My mother has been recently diagnosed and everything I look up on the internet has me in deep fear. They say there's no cure. Please make a video explaining what it is, what can be done, food, exercise, treatment anything. I live in a different country from her and I feel helpless. Please make a comprehensive video I beg. Thank you.

Excellent video!!! I do need some clarification, though. The video is titled Magnesium L-Threonate, and you mention this magnesium sometimes in the video. But then, you use only the word Magnesium and symptoms of low magnesium and how magnesium helps with this difficiency. Are you still only speaking of Mag threonate?
