Today we go magnet fishing and find one of my craziest fines ever. Well magnet fishing we discovered a terrorist weapon at the bottom of the river, we found a pipe bomb taped up with nails with our giant magnets! #CleanStreamMovement

What you found is called an IED (improvised Explosive Device) and these caused a lot of havoc in Afghanistan and Iraq for the military forces. The reason why they didn't let you film the decommissioning of it is because you could be inadvertendly giving clues to the perpetrators and cause them to run and hide. Also, the long knife you found is the upper part of a standard-issue army bajonet. Get an insurance policy, Bryce... I told you before, you're going to find more of this stuff and you don't want to be out of means when something bad happens

@@egoygoy7542 how you figure? I just mag fish for fun. I don’t drive so I’m unable to cart off a bunch of scrap. I use smaller magnets. (Single side, double side and a triple sided magnet). Doesn’t cost a thing to turn in a gun & you certainly get no rewards for it.

I probably wouldn't of been able to identify that as a pipe bomb, and with my luck I'd be charged for having it in my possession or get killed by it. You handled that like a pro. I don't blame you for not wanting to call authorities but you made the right call. Just found this channel and subbed

I can only imagine the entire line of thought that occurs when you find one of these things. I would imagine it's like: 1 second passes: The hell is that? 1.5 second passes: Is that a bomb? 2.0 seconds pass: Oh, that's a bomb. 2.1 seconds pass: *OH, THAT'S A BOMB.*

13 years ago when I was homeless I found a pipe bomb next to the curb near where I was staying. It was made of pvc pipe and caps. It had a local navy base name on it. The bomb squad exploded it and the news crew was there.

An explosive specialist I know said if the bomb didn't go off when your magnet *clicked* onto it, you're probably okay, but lower it back down, gather your things and walk away, because Safety First.

You need to keep a well equipped First Aid Kit in your vehicle. Those resty pieces you pull up can carry all kinds of bacteria and that can cause lots of problems.

the squiggles as you call them coupled with the fact your finding barbed wire makes me think they are the broken remains of a chain link fence and likely the barb wire cabling that holds the barbs in place. at 14:10 the weapon fragment found looked like the broken blade of an old Sabre looks to be a design from the late 1800's to early 1900's (this means nothing, would recommend getting it carbon dated to find the real age since people can still forge such a weapon today)

Hey sir just so you know at timestamp 14:17 you are holding the blade of a Bayanet ........... The groves down the side were put there so when you stuck someone with it the groves would keep the wound open to allow the person stuck with it to bleed opposed to the blade blocking the wound so you dont bleed

@@Thom1973 It looks like a WWI Bayonet, that was used on SMLE Rifles, M1917 “American Enfield”, and Winchester M1897 Trench Brooms (shotguns). 🇺🇸🇬🇧

the grooves on bayonet were designed to prevent sucking effect. Bayonet can easily be withdrawn and target stuck again or take weapon and move on.

Those rings you found were clutch disks for either a motorcycle or atv along with the drive gear for the engine to the clutch.

late to this, but "IED" is an "improvised explosive device" like the pipebomb you found, for some IEDs it can be remotely detonated tho for that it'll have to be either fused or the use of a pressure plate. spreading what i know about them and stay safe.

Hey Bryce, What a Thriller, Killer Day for you guys! That Bridge was Literally Loaded! I have seen alot of wrenches, but never one like that. The crawdad was a beauty, but more than likely, intoxified! (By pollution)! The Iron was late-early, the older ones wouldn't be able to punch through. (Solid), ask Emmi, she caught one the other day. Cool double! Must have been down there for a long time, the Wooden handle turned back to paper! Great thing you were conscientious enough to do the right thing! Safety 1st above humility! I'm I'm stuck in between thinking. I was thinking when you first pulled up those squiggles that it was part of a really old bed frame that had special springs that they weren't actually like springs. They were like those metal rods that you were pulling up. You pulled up the metal bed frame. But you also found barbed wire so it could be some sort of fencing.

It is not a ‘pipe bomb,’ it is a ‘suspected improvised explosive device’ when you are calling the police. Using this sort of terminology will likely reduce the likelihood of an agressive or accusatory police response. A lot of police are former military and know exactly what an IED may be, and know a generally good protocol for dealing with that, but a civilian calling in a pipe bomb will yield a different reaction.

You could check today or next time you empty your trailer. But most shotgun shells are full of lead pellets and there is a seperate price on lead too just like copper. But probably less.
