Magnet Fishing UK - Outside Manchester Bars
I magnet fish outside Deansgate Locks which is full of bars and the comedy club to look for lost property.
So i was on my way to manchester to buy a hoodie with my logo on the back so i could advertise my youtube channel whe i go to a magnet fishing competition.
While i was in manchester i went to the afflek palace to buy the hoodie but it took a few hours to make so i decided to go to deasnsgate locks and magnet fish.
While i was there outside the comedy club i found loads of stuff like jewellery , stiletto shoe and even a knife.
I found countless gas cylinders which are used as a legal high, i also found 3 bike locks that had been cut off and dumped.

I'm laughing here as at 5:25 you pulled out a knife. An I can't believe it but that's only been in the water looking at when you posted the video maybe 2 weeks. An randomly here I am about 5 months later randomly watching a video that was suggested for me. That was my fishing knife I was sat on the locks just exploring and getting something out my pocket and next thing heard a plop as it went in the water. That's awesome you've pulled it out in your video.

Not CO2, its NO2, laughing gas. Sold to go in cream squirters (the sort of thing they put cream on a hot chocolate with in Costa), it's a cheap legal high.

if your from the UK you can buy rope from Homebase foelr about £3 and use an old subwoofer speaker and then upgrade as you get more into it

Be careful mate, when we were kids we used to make rafts on that canal down near what is White City retail park, we used to throw bricks off the bridge into the water too, one day years later when I was passing there were lots of army trucks and police and the whole area was cordoned off, it was a massive unexploded German bomb exactly where we used to play, we were lucky but there could be more and that magnet would definately do the trick!

sweet, make sure the magnets are neodymium as ferite ones are week double sided are better if you are fishing distance as at least one side is on the floor singles are good for the edges to go up and down with

Some areas are very clean and no permission needed you just need to clean up after yourself

Them NOS canisters may have been ours from my works do about 2 years ago 😂 I remember 2 of the lads doing them and throwing it in... If they are that's amazing that I found this video 😂

drasticg I realised that you could have doubts that I'm telling the truth and the only way I can prove I really was there is there is a adults club across the road and comedy store is up on top... 😂 We went to the comedy store and then the adults club... 😂 You smell the shame walking in 😂

Small stuff I put in the bins, big stuff I take home in he car or ring scrap man to collect it and cool stuff like knives and the crossbow I keep as I collect them Hope this helps

With magnets you get what you pay for ao if you buy cheap yoi will get small weak magnets Ideally you want a 200kg double sided magnet from either online magneta or amazon

Are there specific laws here in the UK regarding magnet fishing?, I always thought that if you found something which was listed as stolen (such as some of the bikes you have found) or even if they were stolen and dumped but not reported that taking them classed as "Theft By Finding"?

Thanks for the question All the guns and illegal stuff I drop off at the police, bikes I check the serial numbers but I've only found bikes that have been destroyed or been in the canal for a long time

It's funny you find something constructive and helpful to do and people are very curious and asked you what you're doing all the time. I get the same reaction and sometimes a little worse reaction from people from what I do. I'm a herpetologist AKA reptile Hunter so I go out looking for lots of snakes and when I tell the people what I'm doing with the stick and I'm using because they're curious thought it was a fishing pole at first but then realize that's no fishing pole and being clueless of what it was they ask. Most people are scared of snakes so they're like oh good lord what would you want to go look for snakes for LOL I always laughed and said because I love snakes and I'm doing it for science as well. And they are mostly say that is still crazy. LOL I've been called all kinds of crazy names before 2 and I probably will still keep being called names because of what I love to do. Now if I started magnet fishing I would probably get some rude comments as well here in Florida where we have tons of trash in our Canal systems it would definitely help the ecosystem to do so here in the Lake Okeechobee area in Florida..

Yes its not a main stream thing to do most people think we are nuts but we are all different so just enjoy yourself What you do is cool, if we had a lot of snakes here in the uk id do it to lol Let me know if you start magnet fishing and what you find

Well you would need extensive teaching in the herpetology in Zoology and biology field before you actually go out and do what I do cuz it's something that I have been working on for over 30 years. But it is fun to do once you've learned all the basic stuff and of course you have to learn safety especially around venomous snakes. Without them precautions here in the US you will get bit buy a venomous snake and it will definitely ruin your day. LOL but yeah if I do start magnet fishing I will post them all my KZfaq so all can see it. I need to get me a GoPro. Because all I've been using for all my videos is my cell phone. But I need a computer for my GoPro so I need to work on that first. But yes I will definitely start posting more videos to my wall as soon as I can.
