Thanks for taking the time to put this review together. As a Ham of almost 10 years, I have spent most of my time in VHF/UHF with Technician Class license. Recently I upgraded the General Class License due to my interest growing in HF. Having review videos like this does help a lot!

I hope you found the instructions, magnetic loops are very HI-Q antennas and also Bi directional mounted in the vertical plane near the ground , (3 feet ) this is a qrp antenna. keep power out at 10 watts SSB and no more than 5 watts CW or data , FM and AM, , Never touch the antenna when transmitting especially non insulated parts during transmission as very high voltages can appear , body

That switch is up for 40m and down for 20m thru 10m . Great review.

I just got one from ebay and hooked up my antenna analyzer and the highest I could tune it was 12m band. I opened it up and adjusted one of the poly caps and got it to tune on 10m. I haven't had the time to make any contacts but I'm anxious to see how well it works.

Any contacts on this yet? I saw it on Amazon and for the price, I think I want to pick one up.

Hi Luis . . none yet. I need to bring it up a bit outside and test it again. I can hear them on 40 meters.

@@lotmarquez25 that would be cool iam thinking on getting one its low power but magnetic loops work efficiently or it must be the connections are small if i get one like to modify it to take rg59u and change the bnc connectors to so239 then have an elbow in with a double end male to connect it to the box it should handle 100 watts when its modified instead of using that thin wire
@lotmarquez25 Жыл бұрын
@@ATOMSHAMRADIO . . the capacitor in the box is too small to handle 100 watts. According to the ad, it was designed for 20 watts max. The only thing I like about this antenna is the heliax type coaxial cable that makes up the loop. The control box needs a real upgrade.

Will that handle 100 watts
@lotmarquez25 Жыл бұрын
Hi Jason . . according to the walmart ad about this antenna, it can only handle 20 watts max.
