only works on single layer glass. And before you ask, making a stronger magnet for layered glass will just put a lot of pressure on the glass, therefore breaking the glass.

You can see in the video how the "window" bends and flexes. It's a thin layer of plastic, not glass.

I have this, it actually works but at a much slower speed (otherwise the outer piece can’t catch up with the magnet and will drop). Must wet both sides of the window to reduce friction. Some practices needed to find your optimum pace.

No, dear. Watch again. The wet soapy sponge is just outside. The magnetic guide is moved in tandem from inside by the window cleaner.

Use two set spinner mop. One for water one for soap, n vim liquid(utensils) or any mild soap. Last clear windows with newspaper or nay soft napik paper. N first put towel aur paper end of your window for prevent hazard for your neighbour.

One of two reasons I suppose. Number one to get both sides at the same time. Number two, to cut down friction on his side. I imagine it would slid a lot more easily with soapy water.

Works fine on my double glazing. There are versions with different strength magnets depending on how thick the double glazing is.

Unilux 6 chamber frames with IsoStar2, security level RC 2N + Wirus HST 82 lifting system and 4 pane 3 chamber VSG ("Laminated safety glass") Glas Ug -1.1 The frame is 88 mm thick and the glas about 45 mm. That is state of the art but nothing really fancy.
