Ibrahim Pasha has dark clouds over him... Sultan Suleiman makes the hardest decision on his life. He can't protect the person who has protected from anyone, from himself by deciding him to be executed. The great fellowship started in Saruhan Ranch lasted for long years comes to an end. Suleiman gives Ibrahim of Parga up silent hangmen.
Suleiman orders Ibrahim to be executed whom he protected even from himself via the judgment of the council. However, he consults Ebussuud Efendi to apply the order. Ebussuud gets shocked and asks for time from Suleiman to be able to give him an answer. Hurrem is also unaware of the situation. She thinks she won't be able to get rid of Ibrahim whatever she does. On the other hand, she hasn't seen who Sultana Sah really is. She is pleased that she's good with her. Hurrem also incorporate her in the foundation's charity works.
However, Sultana Sah reveals her true colors with the arrivals of her husbad Lutfi Pasha and her daughter Esmahan.
Prince Mehmet regrets that he caused his favorite Nurbanu' miscarriage. He blames himself. However, he starts blaming Mihrimah after her secret revealed and the siblings fall out with each other. As Hurrem gets involved in their fight, it gets bigger.
The day Suleiman has been waiting for comes. Ebussuud has found a solution. Suleiman needs to sleep for Ibrahim's killing. Suleiman won't be able to sleep peacefully anymore. He either needs to apply his decision or change his mind. He invites Ibrahim over for iftar one night. Ibrahim spends the night in the palace without knowing what will happen to him. As Suleiman is knocked out cold, the silent hangmen knock out Ibrahim.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

I felt bad for Ibraham, he HATED MORE THAN ANYTHING of being a slave. Hatice drove him into the arms of Nigar becuase he was her slave. He was jealous of Hurrem . and the BIGGEST mistake was that Sulieman gave him way too much power and money. It corrupted him.but what ibraham said about he was the trainer and Sulieman was the trained lion. That blew his friendship. Ibraham did it to himself. Hurrem wins.

He hated being a slave and since Hatice reminded him of that, he realized her love was superficial, because she held all the power and he was part of it solely because of the marriage.

hurrem and ibrahim are cut off the same cloth, they are so similiar in many ways. he wasn't jealous of hurrem, he hated her because she was disrespectful towards him, always wanted to eliminate him, fatally attacked him, attempted to assassinate him thrice, slandered him, influenced suleiman against him. suleiman and ibrahim's bond way back when suleiman got to know of his affair with nigar, it was constant slanders by hurrem that flared the doubts in his mind. she made him believe that an innocent meeting between ibrahim and mustafa was a scheme to dethrone suleiman, and that fool even believed it. at the same time, ibrahim kept digging himself a hole. he kept making mistakes, his enemies and hurrem kept taking advantage of those. the entire lion and the person who tames him finally forced him to murder ibrahim bec thanks to hurrem, suleiman's doubts about ibrahim taking the throne or making mustafa the sultan, were full blown. he feared that if he let ibrahim live one day or the other ibrahim may raise a rebellion. in history ibrahim had a lot of loyal followers, moreover he was close to mustafa. at the end its suleiman's own fear, paranoia, jealously that made him murder ibrahim and just simple banish him

suleiman could've just sent ibrahim away stripped him off his duties, or banished him to parga confiscated all his wealth. since historically ibrahim wasn't married to hatice. but he CHOSE to murder ibrahim why? because that man was jealous, paranoid and fearful that if he kept ibrahim alive, he may raise a rebellion, bec unlike here in the show, ibrahim had some strong allies. i can never ever bring myself to sympathize with suleiman, the only person wronged here is ibrahim because he sure overstepped but the punishment for his crime was not death

⁠@@chaiwithchips Read about the era you’re watching. This is not peasants we’re talking about but emperors, royal families, politicians and some very high ranking people. Even today, people get offed for even less than what Ibrahim did. It’s just well planned and hidden from the public. This is not how empires work. What Ibrahim did was the highest of treasons, he called himself the sultan, claimed the empire to be his, abused his power and his authority. This is an empire we’re talking about that was built upon war, slavery and armies. The punishment for Ibrahim’s crime was execution. You wanted Suleiman to retire a traitor and sent him back home. You think of it from a modern day perspective and look at them as two ordinary buddies which is why you don’t understand the decision. Read about history and you’ll understand why what you’re implying would have been illogical and senseless especially for the time period. P.S. Ibrahim wasn’t wronged. The ones who were wronged were all those people he tortured, killed, abused and used including Leo, Hatice, Nigar, Sadika, Nasuh, Hurrem and many more. Consider this the payment for what he did.

@@Dreamfyre2 gosh how arrogant and presumptuous of you to assume that i haven't read anything about the ottoman empire or that era! unlike you i don't see these characters as just characters, they were people and the script of this reflects their life. now im well aware the show is pretty inconsistent with what actually transpire and made sure to get my facts checked before commenting anything. everything that i mentioned about ibrahim above is a popularly discussed theory in history about his execution. i have done my research well, even better than you evidently because im not yapping around relying on whatever this show shows, desperately tryna convince people to like a characters and being rude and disrespectful in the name of stating facts. clearly this entire thing is just about this show and hurrem's character to you, it's quite obvious. it's so hard for you to digest the fact that people can have different opinions and if they have an opinion contradictory to yours doesn't always mean they are uninformed and poorly read. what i know about ibrahim, hurrem, suleiman and the other sultans of the ottoman empire is what I have heavily spent time learning from various sources available. so please don't assume that i have made my opinion about hurrem/ibrahim or suleiman merely on the basis of this show unlike you. stop wasting your time trying to convince me or anyone to think good about hurrem merely on the basis of this show. there can be a difference of opinion. just because you have a different opinion than someone else doesn't give you the pass to be this rude and insolent to other users and viewers of this show. learn to place your arguments well aand not get triggered on something so trivial

What killed Ibrahim was his growing hatred towards Suleyman. He hated being a slave , a subject when he was encouraged to drop the boundaries then to be scolded for doing so. Suleyman scolded him whenever mistake has been made and conviniently forgot what he said to Ibrahim a minutes later, that he is his brother and companion. The prelude of it I think was with Hatice. First big love then falling apart after Hatice called herself a state, betrayal and coming back. However with Suleyman after a betrayal there is no coming back.

It was right decision. Ibrahim put himself on the same level as the Sultan which was unacceptable and he insulted him by putting that he can tame him. Suleiman had too much accomplishments, pride and self respect to be addressed by his Grand Vizier this way.@@acidmana7920

in history and even in the show ibrahim never hated suleiman. he hated the fact that he was slave but he never hated suleiman. he really was devoted to suleiman, remember the recent episode where suleiman is posioned, no way he hated suleiman. acc to many historians suleiman wanted to relieve himself of the burdens of state affairs and there fore he distributed the power onto his viziers. ibrahim was smart, intelligent and therefore he was bestowed upon with more, almost absolute power. they haven't shown this in the show. in the show ibrahim was given so many powers is bec probably suleiman wanted ibrahim to be an equal and treat him as a brother. moreover there were some fatal attacks on ibrahim, he saved suleiman's lives multiple times and therefore to protect him ibrahim was given those powers. but ibrahim clearly lost his innocence and took all those honorifics to the heart. thanks to hurrem, in the show, suleiman was paranoid that ibrahim would come for his throne and therefore had him killed out of fear, jealously. i dont think he ever felt betrayed

They were truly his only family. A part of him died with Hurrem. I am glad he left with her daughter and grandkids in the endfinally leaving the harem once and for all. He was very rich from his coffee houses, so he didn't need to depend on them financially. Hurrem set him frie too. He stayed out love which until Hurrem's family, he never had.

I think Ibrahim's main issue with hurrem was that she was also close with suleiman like him. Like he dont want to share suleiman with anybody and vice versa. Like they dont want other to get more importance than to them from suleiman. I think this is the main reason they both dont got along

I agree, I also believe he knows Hurrem is a treat to Mustafa.... I came to realize Ibrahim supported Mustafa because he would've been a puppet king with Ibrahim ruling for him. In many way Mustafa defied his father and only caved when Ibrahim would step in meaning he respected Ibrahim more than his father the Sultan. And that's a problem which Hurrem knew as well, that's why she was able to use their relationship to her advantage.

Ibrahim selected Hurrem to serve Suleman. He thought she would be his tool but he couldn't control her. He didn't anticipate love in a harem especially when Suleman was so enamored of his current baby momma. He repeated the same pattern over and over until Fruize. She implicated him and exposed both him and Hattice. It really was the last nail in the coffin.

Problem with Hurrem is that he would kill her sons and daughter as soon as Suleiman died, to put Mustafa on the throne. That’s the source of all their schemes, power. Nothing to do with friendship or love 😂

It's a late reply but if you saw this from the beginning, Ibrahim threw Alexandra(Hurrem) in dungeon due to trouble caused and she promised revenge on him. That's how hate towards each other started.

After watching the whole series and rewatching it i wonder why Suleiman did not just dismiss Ibrahim from the post as he does later with Rustem Pasha. Did he fear that Ibrahim would create another power centre or was he afraid that he would forgive Ibrahim at a later date?

I think Suleiman knew what a great political figure Ibrahim was and therefore afraid he would rise up, create a new state and sultanate (which he tried to do immediately after his affair came to light). He already had a bad taste of this happening through Ahmed Pasha declaring himself Sultan of Egypt in earlier episodes.

Hurrem is targeted a lot because her biggest weakness is her desire for a loving family at peace with each other, ensuring the safety of her kids, many have taken advantage of this unfortunately, but thankfully Hurrem is a survivor and wins out in the end and gets her greatest wish, that she die before Suleiman, in his arms, well lived and well loved

If she would have died after Suleiman - at that time her son would be Sultan and she would be Valida Sultan (Queen Mother), which is the most powerful position for a woman in Moslem World at the time. Also if she would outlive the Sultan, her son Bayezid would be alive and his sons too as should wouldn't allow one brother fighting another.@@apollomommy7364

Hurrem extend Ibrahim an Olive branch, when she said if he'll stop so would she and he laugh in her face. He should've accepted because together they would've been stronger. However Ibrahim was so blinded my power, greed and pride that he could not see that he could not win. Hurrem Sultan is the legal wife of the Sultan, she's the mother of 4 of his sons and his only daughter. She not just his wife but she's his life, his everything. Smh had Ibrahim truly loved his wife he would've understood the bond between the Sultan and his Sultana.

Thank you. Ibrahim didn't know love. And considering how many times Hurrem has posed a threat to him he should've accepted the offer for peace. Honestly she's been his greatest adversary. But then he's blinded enough to think he's above the Sultan. Why would he see a mere woman as a threat??

Ibrahim supported Mustafa who (according to the Ottoman's law) could kill all the Hurem's sons and their sons upon taking the throne. Even if it wouldn't his wish, Mahidevran would have made him do it. Ibrahim was main Mustafa's support and until Ibrahim is out, Mustafa cannot be sidelined. That what Rustem told Hurrem too.

Süleyman has to sleep to kill ibrahim. But he gave the orders of killing ibrahim when he was awake. Obviously a person cannot give an order while sleeping. So the promise was broken. Abu Saud's suggestion was useless.

all those flashbacks of ibrahim as a kid, the little innocent boy abducted from his village, separated from his family, the confidant and companion of suleiman, the prince made me tear up so bad, im almost watching this episode with tears in my eyes, that man deserve a death like this. what exactly was he thinking when those executioners strangled him, the way he called out for suleiman is so gut wrenching. was he aware it was suleiman who wrote his death warrant, the person he trusted the most, the same person for whom he sacrificed his life, almost died multiple times. he died unsettled and disturbed, betrayed by the person he never even imagined. wherever he is, may he be at peace. in this show they've shown that his coffin is taken to his home. in reality his body was found discarded out the palace gates. that man has a grave on a roadside, infact they don't even know if that is his grave, because his dear friend never gave him a grave :/ a valiant man like him who bought the ottoman empire such huge victories and fortunes, a great diplomat and minister like him didn't deserve an embarrassing death like this. such a shame suleiman didn't consider any of this while executing him him.

If you heard the conversation with the judge. The only way to execute the person that the Sultan protected is when he is sleeping. Suleiman followed the judge advice. It’s not being coward.

This is so sad the never ending battle between hurrem and Ibrahim could have being avoided if they both respected each other and the place they had in suleyman’s heart.Ibrahim’s arrogance and hatred for hurrem pushed her into poisoning suleyman’s heart against him.But I don’t understand why suleyman executed him.He could have just exile him or something.His decision is going to bring in more death.what pains me the most is hurrems innocence being taken away in the struggle of power and she does not even realize it.

Awake or not Ibrahim was already given so many signs and hints by Suleiman and that he's on the edge and a little mistake...again, would lead him to fall down to the cliff. But he still choose to ignored it

He shared that Ibrahim didn't need to tell him to take measures or precautions for the palace or the army. Awake or not, this is where it is essential; it means the sultan has broken his own word and promise.

im so scared to watch ep 82, 83and 84. ibrahim's death, hatice's reaction and that wretch hurrem celebrating his death is just heartbreaking. additionally this is okan's last episode oh, he was such an important part of the show. like departure of nebahat chehre who played valide, okan yalabik left a void and charm that was irreplacable. i dont like ibrahim a lot but i'll miss him💔

oh i hate hate ebussud effendi, suleiman and hurrem. that scene where hatice senses something is wrong and asks ibrahim to stay back, ibrahim's last moments with his kids, they didn't deserve this. his poem, oh my heart hurts so bad, his loss feels so personal. suleiman didn't even think of hatice, a tryant for sure!

@@EeeeeASMR trust me i wonder the same when i see people supporting or in love w hurrem 😭😂 but this show revealed to me a whole new world of the ottoman dynasty, now i was sure ottomans ruled turkey for some period but never did i guess that the period was 7 long centuries. so i dived deep in all sources i could and found out more whilst watching the show. after reading all that im not able to perceive this just as fiction. hurrem and suleiman just didn't take lives for the plot of some show they really killed innocent people to feed their own interests. i simply view them as murderers and no amount of kindness, charity and generosity can balance out that cruelty. i have reada and watched shows about other monarchies where people with power were more kinder and mindful about their subjects and i can't help but compare suleiman and hurrem to that. maybe that is mainly why i villianise them because there are people who did better than them. many love hurrem because they like meryem and trust me i like her too but i can't bring myself to like hurrem. im so anti-hurrem and sentimental and sympathetic towards ibrahim and mustafa because in my opinion they didn't deserve those deaths. they were gravely wronged and while history does lack concrete proof about hurrem's involvement in their executions, i and many believe she had so many reasons and resources to cause it. i can't see ibrahim and mustafa just as characters. i empathize with them for god knows what reasons. i just can't see their deaths as some plots and sub plots. they were real humans. and about the show well i hate how hurrem keeps getting away with everything she does. her attempts to murder mustafa and ibrahim are overlooked. she pretends to be one thing in front of suleiman and the other in his absence. her heart burns with revenge and she's got the thirst for power but she won't admit that. inturn she proceeds to justify all the vile things she does in the name of love. that isn't love. you don't use love to manipulate and get things done in your favor. she chose to be that evil when she had the option to not be so. whatever she or suleiman did doesn't not align with my values and opinions. i felt the same when valide and ibrahim used to do such kinda things but i sometimes prefer ibrahim and valide over suleiman and hurrem. my heart goes out the young hurrem who went through all that in her early years in the harem and her life prior to it. but the hurrem they have shown after she obtains the power to rule the harem, i just can't like her. i see her as double faceted and pretentious. moreover this scene just broke my heart they just filmed it well 😭 i pretty much was the target audience for that scene because i wept like a baby 😂

Well, Sultan didn't do it for Ibrahim's sake because he'd be dead by dawn, so he must've done it for Hurrem's sake. Suleyman's decision to execute Ibrahim wasn't easy for Suleyman, and he relies on Hurrem to help him pick up the pieces after the death, so he keeps her close.

Judge hated Ibrahim too, so he busted hump to get rid of him. Besides that, if you're asked by the Sultan to find the solution to a problem and you fail, you could lose your head. In these absolute authoritarian regimes, there's no consensus among peers. You give the ruler what he asks for, or you become useless.

52 seconds ago Eskender Celebi was not innocent , Ibrahim was the innocent person who died, killed by other people's greed and jealousy.... Ibrahim did nothing wrong but just speak some crazy words which is common with youngsters, Eskender was planning treason against the king ..you see even the judge was surprised when he saw the good that Ibrahim had done, they just never took the time to know Ibrahim.for this I actually disliked Hurrem tho I was on her side from the start an killed an innocent man who tried only to be fair while she greedily wanted it all. What you said about eskender celebi is right, but Ibrahim is definitely not innocent and so is hurrem. Are we watching the same show? The words ibrahim said are not just some crazy words he literally said he is the sultan and in one of the previous episodes he called himself openly sultan. Suleyman warned him before but he kept doing what wants as he thinks he can control the sultan. Ibrahim himself told hatice in the past that he couldn’t let the power go. I think that was when he came back to his duties and his home after what happened with the sculpture episode.
