Magnificent Melbourne bike trails - Banyule, Plenty River and Diamond Creek trail

6 жыл бұрынThis ride combines 3 trails east of the City. Starting in Watsonia I follow the Banyule trail for a few km until it merges with the Main Yarra Trail. A few more km's east, the Plenty River trails starts with quite a descent ascent to Viewbank and then follows the winding Plenty River upstream. North of Greensborough the trail ends in the middle of nowhere. To bridge the gap I turn towards the Plenty River Drive which merges with Diamond Creek Road (some quite steep ascents along this segment !!) In Diamond Creek I follow the trail down south until it crosses the Yarra and merges with the Main Yarra Trail.

Hey Sepp you should do a little video on the camera you use and your setup and i think its the best i have seen online, i was thinking to get a gopro for safety reasons more than anything but they still seem big and bulky

Good suggestion, I might do a short one on my Vienna & Melbourne setups when I'm back to Melbs later this month, as they are a little different. Basically, I actually do use a GoPro. I have 3 Models, the Hero 3, 4 and 5. They are a little bulky, yes, but the video quality and the stability on bumpy tracks are convincing facts... also the handle bar mounts prove to serve to the purpose. my favorite is the Hero 4. I also like the Hero 3 because of the angle.. the view is a little more narrowed compared to the 4 & 5 models.... not so happy with the Hero 5... it can do 4K, which is good, but the firmware is buggy and I experience occasional freeze conditions that require a full camera reset.
