The swords are taken out this week on the Magnificent Century! Suleiman learns that Hürrem is missing and he screams the place down. While Mihrimah keeps the sultans responsible for this, Mehmet blames Mustafa. The two brothers fall out even more. Malkoçoğlu questions royal family one by one. Meanwhile, Rüstem starts to look for Hürrem. At the moment everyone loses hopes, Malkoçoğlu finds a clue to reach Hürrem. It is find out who has abducted Hürrem. Suleiman gets shocked with betrayal and death once again.
At the age of 26, when he ascended to the throne, Sultan Suleiman aimed to build an empire more powerful than Alexander the Great and to render the Ottomans invincible. Throughout his 46-year reign, he became the greatest warrior and ruler of both East and West.
The young Suleiman received news of his succession to the throne during a hunting party in 1520. Unaware that he would be ruling a reign beyond his dreams, he left behind his wife son and took to the road with his close friend and companion Pargali Ibrahim to reach the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul. As they started their journey overland, an Ottoman ship set sail from Crimea in the Black Sea, bringing female slaves as gifts for the Ottoman palace… On this ship was Alexandra La Rossa, the daughter of a Ukrainian Orthodox minister, taken away from her family and sold to the Crimean palace. She had no idea that she would become Hurrem, wife of Sultan Suleiman and mother of princes, ruling the empire with him through bloodshed and intrigue.
As Sultan Suleiman conquered the world, his great passion for Hurrem would clash with his love for and trust in his closest friend and advisor, Grand Vizier Pargali Ibrahim, all set against the backdrop of the tension between Christian Europe and the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century.

I always thought Sah Sultan is older sister of Hatice, but when I found out Hatice is the oldest, I was like "well that was unexpected, she act like little sister who got spoil in palace." 😂😂

@@AbeeraShafqat-ag- According to Google, Hatice and Fatma is older than Suleiman, but not sure who is the oldest sister, cause both Sultana born year is "around 1490". Personally I think is Hatice, because her first marriage happened at 1509, while Fatma marriage at 1516. But whatever it is, Sah is the youngest among them.

@@T.Apocalypse well, in series I think they made Hatice the youngest. Even in Valide's flashbacks Suleiman was grown up (19-20 years old) and Hatice was still a teenager, around 12-14.

Serves Suleiman right. Hurrem has been into so much, and this husband doesn't seem to care if his wife is insulted and disrespected, as he himself does the same insult and disrespect to her. I don't know if he really loves Hurrem in this series as it was so easy for him to fall for another woman and neglect his wife many times. This is frustrating for me as a woman and as a wife.

I think he had truly ever loved Hurrem. Others were not 'love' they were just distractions because he was a Sultan and it was normal practice but he really loved Hurrem because in her absence he appears dead from the inside. It's just so obvious how Hurrem affects him so profoundly. And tbh she loved him back just as much even with all his indifference/neglect. Such love is not possible in real life that's why this series is fiction mostly😂

@ishtar1233 Given how he was raised in the harem, the time and his religion, he loved her the best he knew how. The fact that he married a converted infidel and a former slave is a big deal. And that she bore him 5 children when most would only have one. He also had to have other daughters, but her daughter was given more power and favored by him according to history. We look at through our ideas of religion, love and marriage where it is predominantly monogamous vs a time where the goal was to have as many heirs as possible.

Indeed. But i do feel for her on the other side... I lost the one i love, and i lost my mind with it. The unbeareble pain, is hard to understand if you don't experience it..and în my case, no one killed him. She went mad because she lost the lvoe of her life. Ibrahim didn't deserve her love, but her love for him was great regardless... And she was a sensitive person, which is even more impactful... She needed to make sense of her pain by finding a guilty person. Problem is, she never found out the truth about Ibrahim executuon, she never found out the reason, so she went with the suspicios that Hurrem (his greatest enemy) had a role în it. Suleyman should have at least otld her that Ibrahim digged his own greave. But probably she would be în too much pain to listen anyways... Hatice wasn't a strong person, she couldn't overcome her negative emotions, she let herself be overwhelemd by it. The fact that she was coddled all her life also had a role.

Thank you! I am very disappointed that they didnt stay true to the actual historical events surrounding this story! Surely an accounting of the real relationship between Sueleiman and Hurrem and how he was actually FAITHFUL to her in a time when it was commonplace to have numerous lovers would be an enchanting story? Why was that not depected here? SO irritating!

5:46 I know that Suleiman is depressed but I really want to slap him for saying that. If he is so obsessed to take a life of a mother of his child and his sister, he can always go and marry Henry VIII they can always talk to each other about how to get rid of women who are undesirable to them. The only person who he can blame for this is himself he let his family make fight around him for his ego and now he just cried when things went way too much ( like the way that Hatice kidnap Hurrem) while he pretend to be innocent. Interseting that Mustafa didn't react when Suleiman threat his mother , it seems that Mahidevran learn her lesson and doesn't cry in the front of Mustafa or didn't rely on him when Suleiman threat her ( she probably now told him to not react if he threat her), she had a evolution just like Hurrem in her own way ( but I will never critize a person who cry in the front of everyone let's be honest a lot of us wold do that in a stressful position not a los of us would be strong to this point). It really hard to be a woman in this period a lot of many rulers in this position were insulting and cruel to their wives: Henry VIII, Francis I of France (the horrible way he treat poor Claudia and his second wife), Suleiman (he was faithful to Hurrem and let her to be her councelor but I suspect that she awalys flattered him his especially in order to save Bayezid and always mistreat Mahidevran ). The only one who was very respectful to his wife was Charles V. Poor womens of this time they were often in stressful position. I they have husband who always respect her, fine but if not, God help them.

The audacity of hatices facial expressions is appalling considering she was the master mind behind this Suleiman trule loved& cared for his sisters but in return they got tother with mahi& gulfem with help from mustafa and did this evil act Suleiman has to be blamed here since he knew hurrem had been always targeted and there has been numerous threats to her life from the beginning but did nothing abt it While he easily punished hurrem for silliest mistakes he kept quiet when it came to others Just love for ur wife is not enough...u shld be able to protect her too

Didn't she go missing around three times in this series? He always freaks out and goes on about no matter what, she's #1 he cares for her the most.... Then by the next episode he ignores her and is sleeping with someone else and threatening to toss her aside when she's upset.
