The golden years of the Ottoman Empire come to life in a television series. The life of Suleiman the Magnificent is preparing to be a guest in your homes in all its glory. Get ready to experience the era with ambition, loves, wars and all the struggle.
Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. But it won't be long before Alex learns the rules of the palace. He chooses a great target. Alex, Sultan Suleyman's first night on the way to attract his attention. Sultan Suleiman's wife Mahidevran just arrived from the palace of Manisa. He is looking forward to seeing his wife.

Sultan Süleyman olarak padişahlık hayatına başlamıştır.
Bu sırada, Karadeniz üzerinden içi köle yüklü bir kadırga, İstanbul’a doğru gelmektedir. Kölelerden en ateşli olanı ise, kaderini değiştirecek olan yolculuğa çıktığının henüz farkında değildir. Geri dönmek için çaresiz bir şekilde isyan etmektedir.
Sultan Süleyman, padişahlığının ilk gününde verdiği buyruklarla nasıl bir padişah olduğunu göstermek ister. Ama bu kararlar herkesin hoşuna gitmeyecektir. Sultan Süleyman ise gönderdiği mesajlarla, tüm Avrupa’ya meydan okumaktan çekinmez.
Alex, tüm isyankarlığına rağmen, Topkapı sarayına getirilir. Onun bu tavrı ilk andan itibaren Valide Sultan’ın dikkatini çeker. Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. I was a great man and a just leader. I knew Bali Bey was a great man and innocent in some extent. I couldn’t execute a person like him.I had no idea they had something going on and others complicated stuff not Bali himself.He saved my Father’s life many times and others as well. I never reggret letting Bali Bey live. He was a good righteous man.

What success? He showed he was indecisive and emotionally dependent. An Ottoman sultan will not last a minute if he behaved like that. Don't forget other European states spent their entire existence trying to destroy them and they succeeded in 1922. So he needed to weigh things intelligently make a decision and stick with it. Suleiman would have corrected Mehmet but not Mustapha.

I did not notice happiness of Ibrahim about Mustapha 's compassionate decision. SULEIMAN was the one happy on hearing his son 's reason for the forgiveness. Mahidevran was not happy either. Mahidevran and Ibrahim both hate Hurrem.

I know that Mustafa's actor looks too adult for many, but I believe he made a great job in portraying young Shehzade's innocence, doubts and romantic side of his. He doesn't look the part and age, but he's still believable and convincing.

Honestly, I didn't like him in these early episodes, but I loved him later when he has a full beard and was in Manisa. He really does a great job when his relationship with Suleiman breaks down.

This serial has outstanding acting from all participants from Suieman to Sumbul Aga. Amazing ,just see their facial expressions ,body language ,even eye contacts! Are the actors all Turkish?? Their standards are high indeed!!

Most are Turkish in Turkish series, with some Iranian Turks, Afghan Turks, and might have other Turkic people among them too. Their standard is definitely high, no other world cinema's compare to them, other than Hollywood. I'm referring to the quality, story, theme, and the movies as a whole. I think their historical series tops even Historical Hollywood series, but that is my personal opinion, as I watched some historical English series and they're not as interesting.

I spared Bali Bey’s life because he was a loyal soldier to the Dynasty. Hurrem’s games again led him to nearly being executed. If it was up to her he would had been executed but I was not like her. Bali Bey deserved to live and I understood him. I knew what love was and things can get out of your hands especially with the intrigues in that palace. Bali Bey refused to marry my sister for those reasons and he knew it wasn’t love but just a young woman’s desire. She threatened him straight away.

The only thing Hurem fails to predict is the death of Efsun.. If only Mustafa prevent his mother from jeopardizing his siblings during his father's illness or threatened Hurem for his siblings' life in his hand, Hurem would never be so scared having Mustafa stand in his throne.

It's interesting if Aybige really become Mustafa's wife and Efsun become his concubine. Basically all Mustafa's consorts under Hurrem's influence. And because Valide Sultan already has good relationship with Hurrem, Mahidevran don't have a chance, even she become valide sultan later.
