I just hope the driver who plunged into the stream was able to escape from his SUV before the resin set.

Loved this. It is technically wonderful. In addition to the many jokes in the diorama, the model skillfully creates the illusion that the vehicles are not all moving on one level. E.g. the cyclist seems to descend from his shed to the road. Also it appears that the bridge is hump-backed.

I first saw the video about the photopaper as roads and the looping and the sliding bicycle caught my eye, then this video made me make an audible "Heh!" when the bicycle went offroad and showed this little scene. This is very impressive stuff! I love it!!!

That's wonderful! A while back, when on holiday in Italy, I went to a model maker's exhibition. There was a beautiful railway layout there that covered several metres of tables with lots of detail. There was an 'accident' scenario near the far end with the emergency services in attendance to something that had crash landed in a lake. On closer inspection, it was a Star Wars X-wing fighter! Although the road vehicles were not animated, there were several railway locos running around, all controlled from an I-phone app. All very clever and fantastic work by the builder.

Amazing! Best diorama I have ever seen. I am thinking of getting one of these Magnorail systems to add to my layout, as I would like to just have some cycles peddling round some of my streets. Thank you for sharing. Geoff

Good luck with your Magnorail. The cyclists are really tricky to assemble, so take your time!

Usually a BMW, usually having left the road on the other side of the bridge having failed to bother with precautionary sowing down in winter. Passed a spot like that most mornings in the mid 80s. A lot of winter mornings were adorned with nose down BMWs. The horses would also kick BMWs on the hill going up the other side.

I have to wonder if such brilliant choreography could be applied to automate a model rail accident scene of some kind. Probably would be incredibly hard to do a convincing derailment "at speed", but maybe a road-rail collision would be achievable (someone forgets to set their parking brake on a hill, car 'rolls' down as owner "runs" after it, stopping in perfect arm waving to-scale horror as it gets caught by the front of a train, instantly passes out of view under a highway viaduct to hide the transition point, train emerges with a thoroughly destroyed car now attached to it, pass out of scene.)

So the car swerves off the road and into the creek before even reaching the well posted dangerous bend, but the guy on the bicycle who lives right there can't make it through the bend and crashes too. This is hilarious stuff.

Unbelievable! I've only just come across these videos of people making miniatures like this and I can't comprehend the skill and patience needed to do it. This little story is fantastic. And that bike with the guy pedalling - amazing. To get the guy to crash did you move the magnarail to the side or something?

My perfectest of compliments for the perfectest of efforts shown to create such happiness in others. That must have been rewarding to have finished to perfection. May each human have at least one opportunity to form something decent with their hands, even feet or nose if they must. You provide an artful, mechanical, computerized form of encouragement for others to maybe want to follow themselves in any artful fashion they have inside of them. Maine said "hello".

You should see me doing this in real life. With a pick of feral dogs chasing me. Chasing me into a boulder-filled drainage ditch. On my way to work. On my first day to work at my new job. With zero background music, even. Yes, some lives are like mine is. And some bike trips are even worse, they'll tell me.
