This is fantastic. You have given so much depth to one of the most amazing characters on tv. It is mentioned throughout how long Magnus lived but this makes it so clear the huge step he took to open his heart to Alec. He knew exactly how it would end and how excruciating it will be because he already lived it. He feels so deeply but even he was not aware how profound his love for Alec would be. You have managed to portray the tragic, brave, loving man Magnus is with such grace and elegance that it had me on the floor. Thank you for making this part of my mind.

💙💙💙Magnus💙💙💙 (This is going to be long) He's Been Through A Lot. A Sad, Terrible past, but... Once he saw Alec, he felt different, he locked himself from love because of some past memories, but Alec Unlocked it. When he went to Alec's wedding, Maryse told him to leave, but he said he'll only leave if Alec said so, so by that, he was being respectful, he said: "I'll leave if he asks me to". Alec didn't say anything, but Did Something, Something that Shocked Everyone, Even Himself, Alec Let Out His Feelings, and Magnus Felt Happy About It, Magnus Was Now With Someone He Wanted To Be With. Later on, at the bar, their first date, Alec asks Magnus about how many people he's been with. Magnus says 17 almost saying thousand, and Alec is like "okay, that's not much, right?" Magnus then shows a face of that "its more than that" face, so then Alec says "17 hundred?" Magnus again shows the face, then Alec says "17 thousand?!" With a shocking face(😮). Back at the apartment, Alec says that they might be too different. Magnus frowns by the thought of that. Alec says he needs to leave, but he thinks about Magnus, so he stops midway to the front door and turns around. He goes to stand in front of Magnus and tells him that he doesn't care how many he's been with, and Magnus says he doesn't care how many people he hasn't been with. Alec stares at him, then reaches to kiss him. A lovable kiss that shows how much Alec loves Magnus. Magnus gets happy, and Alec smiles. (Then Jace comes asking if Magnus has a spare room 😂) Weeks later, he loses his magic, loses his job as High Warlock and Alec asks him if he's okay, and Magnus says he's fine, he's okay, but of course, he isn't. Alec gets asked to go to idris/Alicante, and Magnus gets proud of him, but deep inside he doesn't want him to leave. Sometime Soon at the bar, Magnus tells Alec that he doesn't want him to leave, then Alec says he won't leave, he said he always wanted to be with a person he always wanted to be with, and that was Magnus💙. So More on, Alec goes to Asmodeuse to tell him about Magnus, and Asmodeuse tells Alec to break his heart, because that's how Asmodeuse will give Magnus his Magic back. Alec painfully does what he said and tells Magnus he needs a break (meaning breakup 😭) Later, They're in Alicante, Jonathan is of course destroying and burning it cause he's evil. Magnus Finds out what Asmodeuse did, so then he traps Asmodeuse in Portal, and goes to Alicante To Help and Most Importantly Find Alec. Finally, the moment we've been waiting for, The Proposal! 💍💍💙💙! Alec wanted to propose to Magnus, but Magnus that day wasn't in a good mood. So when Magnus Arrives, HE Proposed to Alec, and Alec Says: " Only If You Marry Me" and they both have their Rings On, but Magnus has to leave to close the hole that allows demons from Edom to enter to earth. Lastly, everyone goes to save him, and Izzy, and after all that, They Get Their Happy Ending: Their Wedding Alec, Inquisitor of Alicante Magnus, The High Warlock Of Alicante 💙💙💙💙➰➰➰➰

you have officially broken me. wow. what a day to be a magnus stan 😔 ajajskskjk in all seriousness this was absolutely stunning. you forever continue to impress me with your editing skills and your ability to find new meanings behind different scenes. not a second of this was wasted, every scene had a purpose, it flowed incredibly well and everything came together to end my whole life. the way you linked moments together in this was MASTERFUL, it gave me a deeper understanding to scenes that i thought i knew intimately. i was literally holding my breath the entire way through and then started bawling somewhere around a minute in, so, thanks for making me cry at 1 in the morning. you portray his character so amazingly well i am BALD. his defence mechanisms, his loyalty, his selflessness, his fear of loneliness, just everything??? ART! that last part where asmodeus says “you will be the death of him” followed by magnus saying “i’ll use the last drop of my power if it’s the death of me”? that made me drop my phone and just GAPE into space like wow!!!!! you DID THAT!!!!! jesus christ!!!!!!!!! i needed to watch it a second time just to fully process what just happened. i am So emotional. nina, you should be so proud of what you’ve created, i’m really proud of you, this is absolutely heartbreakingly beautiful and i’m going to go cry forever. thank you for creating this and working so hard on it

I've been meaning to comment on your videos for so long now. I just need you to know that you're really, really, really gifted. I rewatch all of your Shadowhunters videos on a weekly basis because your music choices, the colouring, the lack of overly flashy transitions just WORKS. Instead of using pre-made effects, you cut and choose the scenes (the content as well as the setting of the scenes) in a way that makes it all harmonise and tell a story, rather than it simply being some scenes with some music. Like you really just have and eye and an ear for which moments fit together organically. Genuinely mate, you're the best video editor I've ever had the pleasure of following on here. Keep on doing you, I'm a huge fan and I miss your Shadowhunters videos as much as I miss the show itself!

This is so well edited and put together I can’t even believe it, it’s so good!

Oh Magnus. So much pain in his life. So much loss. He has such low self-esteem. Thinks that without his magic that he is worthless. That no one would like or want him around without it. That its the only good thing about him that Alec would stop loving him and that view was kinda cemented into him when Alec "breaks up" with him as soon as Magnus tells him how much he isn't coping and suffering when he lost his magic that second time. (I know why Alec did that and it was from a place of love but Magnus didn't know that at the time) But the thing is Magnus truly has a beautiful soul. He is kind, generous, loving, wise, brave and generous. He cares so much for his friends/fanily. He is supportive and understanding, always ready to be there for others when so few seem to reciprocate. His magic was always the icing, not the cake. But he just doesn't see that. Cannot see his own worth outside of it. Magnus is so quick to help his friends and sacrifice things for them. To risk his life and give up the things he loves for them. I don't think many people have treated him very well over the years. To say he can't remember the last time someone even gave him a gift which is why he is so attached to that gift Alec gave him. Alec is also one of the only people we hear thank him for all his help, to really appreciate all his does. Pretty much all the others just turn up and expect/demand he helps them...usually barging into his home without knocking. They take him for granted too often. I mean when they went to rescue him from Edom, other than Alec who pointed out that he sacrificed himself for THEM the others seemed more interested in saving Izzy or "The world" then just saving Magnus just for saving Magnus. And Magnus seemed genuinely surprised that anyone other than Alec would go to Edom to save him. The shocked "we?" when Alec said "we couldn't leave you to face Lillith alone". Alec was different then the rest though. He truly loves Magnus for WHO he is and even says he feels bad for always going to Magnus with his problems. He thanks him for his sacrifices and his help. He checks on Magnus and worries for his mental well being. He knows that without Magnus they would've been screwed so many times. He works out the problems and finds the solutions. He is a fountain of knowledge snd so few of them even really appreciate him. Other than Alec i can't think of snyone who actually says "thank you" to him. Even Jace who he gave up his magic to free him from Liliths control. He is truly the best character on Shadowhunters if not all of TV. I love him so much and him and Alec are a perfect couple. They love each other fiercely and completly. Sure they argue but both are willing to admit their mistakes and apologise. They talk through their problems and are so supportive of each other in everything. They never give up on each other and will fight to the death to make the other happy, even at the cost of their own happiness. Magnus deserves ALL good things and he and Alec should live long and happy lives together.

I keep rewatching this video sometimes. And I really need to say that I LOVE how you showed Magnus's destructive and his self-devotion behavior in the same time. Also line with alcohol which talks about his way of survive after all he went through is brilliant. Even music sounds so suitable for Magnus. Everything in this video explain every single detail about this character to us, it looks like more a well done analysis not just a beautiful edit. You made a great work thank you very much!
