These are the 2 clips comparing left helical vs right helical. First at normal speed, the 2nd at 240fps and then slowed down 3X with an AI program from @topazlabs. It’s amazing what that program can do.
Testing the 125 grain Bullhead from @magnusbroadheads has been an interesting experience. I’ll do a full video after I get back from my hunt in Nebraska but this is a sneak peak of what I saw during my process. My arrows clocked left out of my Hoyt RX7 so I fletched them with 4 left wing feathers and a left helical. When I was tuning, I noticed that my arrow was rotating right. The “propeller” at the front of my arrow completely took control over my fletchings and it was crazy to see how much effect that it had. The front end was steering the arrow while fighting with the back end resulting in unstable and unpredictable flight at 20 yards. I rushed back home and setup on the side of my house. I fletched up a new arrow with a right helical and not only did I get perfect flight but also got more rotations which means better control of the broadhead.
