I always wonder at how professional chess players just get up and go the moment the game finishes. No winding down from the game, no friendly chat with their opponent, just a clean break and off to whatever’s next.

Judit was winning it. Instead of c5 which is a blunder, she should play Bf6 as suggested by the commentator. This stops incursion by white Q and allows Black Q to grab the h file. Nice energetic game any way.

In the position of 9:27 I saw the move Bg5, threatening Bh4, with the same result: or White plays the King and Bh4 comes anyway, forcing Qh2, or White plays Qh2 immediately. Then Black plays Kf7 or Kg7 and the Rook can lift towards the h file.

@@konohaboyz5484 Well, you are right.. Humans cannot compete with computers on a technical level. Even the moon flight would have been impossible without computers. And I ALSO believe there was something odd about the Deep Blue moves in the Kasparov game 1997. But really Kasparov was the last human to challenge a computer.. To make a point: Computers at this point aren't that intelligent really. I wouldn't put Deep Blue in charge at any point.. or a cell phone.

Two markedly different approaches to the game shown here, and I can't even say that I 'like' Carlsen's the best. To use a boxing analogy, my favorite fighter of all-time is Thomas Hearns, who, among other attributes, always brought an exciting offensive attack to the ring. Floyd Mayweather, on the other hand, was the great out-pointer and defensive master, and always had his hand raised at the end (undefeated). Both unquestionably ATG's: one the flawless tactician, the other with the more exciting style. I liked/admired them both.

Thanks for the useless line where Polgar somehow ends up checkmating Carlsen with two queens.

Illustrated in the video: Magnus Carlsen has played a very good game vs. Judith Polgar - like Carlsen could probably have played against any other (male) GM. *...And quite a lot of the commentaries here are misogynous. WHY?*

lousyfication because in many tournaments are no women. Chess reflects the countries vision for woman progress. Judith is the only woman ( besides her sisters ) i know facing men...

lousyfication yes i know i"ll find plenty of them. I mean what ( in my case ) works is the romance thing around the women intelligent myth is World History. MarieCurie, Agatha Cristie, Virginia Wolf, Sor Juana Ines, Frida Khalo... In Politics Ángela Merkel, Teresa May, Michelet Bachelet, i do understand theres a diferent kind of intelligences... The story about the PolgarSisters from Hungary is the one i know... Lazlo Polgar explained the way he created a 3 little girls as a genius teaching them ... Im sure that behind every woman is over 2500 is a unique story about sacrificies, dicipline, efforts, but what i meant about Judith ( not even Zuzza & Sofia ) is the one i remember perfectly in world international competitions as Linares playing against ( Karpov, Korchnoi, Kramnik,Ivanchuk,Anand,Short,Kasparov and the best male players ) the question is who is the next JudithPolgar i will fall in love with...

@Gravitar
@Gravitar 4 жыл бұрын
