I think in that case, someone occasionally lowers the difficulty (if he doesn't do it himself), because while rare (especially compared to the GTE/How to Lose at Chess cast), he has made massive blunders in more than a couple of games in the course of his career. Also, what AI would resign after one move because of suspicions of the opponent cheating?

Was about to write a comment about that, too. Sadly Vincent is severely underrated by the chess community outside of Germany. Imo he is on par with players like Arjun, Pragg and Nodirbek but gets mentioned far less for some reason.

@@callistec8183 Maybe it won't be all that sad. Of course it's unlikely that he knocks out Magnus, but I believe that he has a chance. Magnus was not in the best shape before this tournament and although he seemingly breezed through the first two rounds (based on results), some of those games weren't all that smooth and against opponents far weaker than Vincent. Additionally, Vincent is probably in the best shape of his career.

It’s insane to think that someone can see 10-15 moves ahead in a 100 different variations of how someone might respond to each move and see 10-15 down each of those lines. Repeatedly, reliably, ridiculously good.

As a dutch guy: roebers is pronounced like ruby + vers. Roe as in Ru from ruby and the bers as in vers with a b. For the real dutch version the first R has to be rolling but that's a technicality

This is the round of 64, not 32, right? I think Levy might be confused because the tournament has 206 players, not 128 like he mentioned (which means there is an extra round... Although not for the top 25 seeded players who get byes into the round of 128).
