Thinking of adding one of these to my '20 Gladiator Rubicon. Seems that for the money, you get more hp and torque with the Magnuson than the centrifugal ones from Ripp or Procharger, and the Magnuson kit is cheaper (not counting labor to install). I'd get more use out of a supercharger than a lift / 37s / bumpers / winch / half doors / etc. I have read that the Magnuson tunes can be hit or miss, I'm hoping if I get one they'll have it sorted out. I get that they have to draw a fine line between maximizing performance without impacting engine durability, so they don't jeopardize their own drivetrain warranty. There's another company that sells the Magnuson kit with their own tune, but there's no 3/36 powertrain warranty because of it, just a 12-month warranty on the kit itself. Now that you've had it a while, any regrets? Thanks!

I am saving to do this to my gladiator, curious to see what happens with that knocking noise. Do you think it is coming from the supercharger or the motor? I'm subbing! Appreciate the gladiator content!

The 3.6 Pentastar ticks, that's normal. The knocking sound... now that's bad

Did you have to use different oil when you got an oil change? Did you had to run supreme gas? Or still unleaded?

Whoa… I have almost the same spec gladiator. 😎 By the way maybe there is something wrong with the engine tune… other reviewers had better luck with knock.

I have the rubicon model, and will probably not go for the supercharger because 1. I cant afford it and 2. I dont want to have to use high octane gas.

Hey man, I read below two things you wrote, one you said the noise is because of a purge valve placement but then I read you got a different tune? I bought a 2019 with a Magnuson SC on it, and sure enough, have the same woodpecker noise. The sucky part is, the warrant on the Magnuson was not transferrable to me. Do you have a contact at Magnuson? I am wondering how much a tune and tuner will cost me to get rid of the pesky noise.

my 2020 Gladiator had 57,000 kms on it when I gave it back to the dealer. The whole canbus system failed rendering the vehicle undrivable and they have not been able to fix it. My local dealer treated me very well and I am now into a 2022 JL. Not as cool as my Gladiator but am very happy with this Jeep. Am going to do a supercharger for sure

Do you have e-torque on your Jeep? Magnuson said the kit only works on the manual transmission.

If it’s knocking you shouldn’t be driving it. Detonation will destroy you engine. I didn’t hear this woodpecker knock but if it’s just at idle it’s prob not detonation tho. I was thinking what supercharged should I get now I’m thinking I’m not gonna destroy my 50k truck for some more power.

And dude unless your blower has a warranty that covers your engine,good luck getting a blown motor replaced. Doubt you could get a new motor from Jeep even with a warranty, modified🤷🏻‍♂️

How much is the magnuson

Sure as hell doesn’t sound like it’s running good. Nor would I be driving it around like that 😩
