I interpret it as God showed him this loss so that he can be relieved. He mentioned he was afraid of losing or it caused him stress since he was undefeated. God showed him that loss is okay and he can continue forward.

For the life of me I will never understand why he tapped there. Especially it being his UFC debut. I can tell you as a fighter that while he may not have known just how little time was left (the ten second indicator can be easy to miss sometimes), he would’ve known the round was “almost” over. And in that situation, even if you know you’ve been caught in a triangle, you stay in it and hope time runs out before you pass out.

@@Triumphantchild it’s about the skills he possesses and seriously why Walker was considered grounded when only his one knee was on the ground? And the knee didn’t even damage him Walker played the fool without a reason. In the previous fight, which Mokaev won they stopped the match for worse illegal blows but they eventually continued. A draw? Jan was only scoring leg kicks? Why they even score leg kicks its the easiest hit you can barely defend. Anyways if you know about fighting sports you can see how good Ankalaev is.

@@Losbil6972 An opponent with one knee on the ground is still a grounded opponent and Ankalaev deliberately threw an illegal knee strike like the idiot that he is. He should’ve gotten a DQ, he’s lucky it was only ruled as an NC. Ankalaev lost the 3 rounds handily against Jan. Why would Jan’s leg kicks be worth less than other strikes when they were visibly inflicting more damage than Ankalaev’s strikes? Why should Ankalaev have gotten the win when all he did was pin Jan down the last 2 rounds? Ankalaev’s an overrated fighter with poor fight IQ.

It was a sudden grab the last craig could do in the right moments, ankalaev was mauling him and hr got caught with a leg triangle choke fast and tapped for obvious reasons he got his first fight loss in ufc when he could have ended the guy he stopped and taught of not fighting anymore but he starts to take a time off and work in gym to come back again to dominate
