The Cosmos sang this to call Mothra to rescue them. This is from Godzilla and Mothra: The Battle for Earth (1992).

mothra represents mother earth and the love of the land, battra represents the earth's wrath and the chaotic forces of nature

The first version of this song was haunting. This version seems to be more uplifting

This is probably the best variation of the song, at least vocal-wise

Even though this is old I hope that they do a good remastered version of this or at least use this for the next Godzilla movie

It wasnt in KOTM, but maybe in the origins movie of Mothra for phase 2 the fairies twins will be in it... Well I hope... If not, well Toho spoke about wanting to create their own monsterverse [or should I say recreate]... So in those, the song should be in it for sure.

@ MrNoturaveragerednek. only 1 pair of twins, the original pair. There have been 2 other pairs of actresses but neither time were they actually twins though they were made up to look as close as possible. The original twin fairy priestesses were actually twin sisters who were a popular singing act in Japan at that time known as "the Peanuts". The mesmerizing vocals from those movies are provided by them as well in those movies.

Every song they sing to Mothra is a love song, when they sing to her they pray for love, understanding and protection. I just wonder how many twin actressess played the part tiny twin girls over the last 40 years or so, does anyone know the answer to that?

I'm sad for Battra. Toho never considered giving him his own theme song. Then again he doesn't have his own pair of fairy attendants either. Always figured if he did they'd be two imps instead.
@bloodrosereaper20996 жыл бұрын
Lel... I just had a thought. Would his "Imps" be like the Goblins from the Overlord game series? All quirky and awkward, with their own personality sets?
@snaake93896 жыл бұрын
Alex Lemonds Also how the larvae becomes an adult was very anticlimactic. A red lightning strike and he’s instantly an adult? They could’ve at least let him cocoon.
@bloodrosereaper20995 жыл бұрын
If he did, I image his "fairies" being like Demons of some kind, with his theme more... demonic. Hellish, like... I dunno, the "fairies" being afraid of him.

Pretty song, the girls are too. I have no idea what they're saying but it sounds like some sort of love song. If anyone understands Japanese can you give me a basic idea what they're saying? That is one big fuzzy colorful moth.
@ivandovranic10015 жыл бұрын
I'll say as much, I google-translated "mahara", expecting to find translation from Japanese. Instead I found it to be Maori word, meaning _remember_ . Knowing that the other Mothra song is also actually written in Indonesian but with Japanese accent, I deduce that Japanese was deliberately avoided in creating lyrics for twin fairies' chants, going instead for mixture of Asiatic/Oceanic speeches.
