Maharaja Ranjit Singh (13 November 1780 -- 27 June 1839) was the founder of the Sikh Empire, which came to power in the Indian subcontinent in the early half of the 19th century. The empire, based in the Punjab region, existed from 1799 to 1849. It was forged, on the foundations of the Khalsa, under the leadership of Maharaja Ranjit Singh from a collection of autonomous Sikh Misls

As a punjabi and a Muslim, Why should I boast about the Foreign leaders such as Mughals,Ghaznis ,tughlaqs? whether they were Muslims or not, they were either Afghans ,Turks or Arabs i.e Not My People. Without any doubt Punjab was most prosperous and secular during the time Maharaja Ranjit Singh.I don't care which religion he belonged to, he was a PUNJABI,he is my pride and my idol Love from Gujranwala,Punjab,Pakistan.

In 1796 the Afghan King Shah Zaman (grandson of Ahmed Shah Abdali) attacked Punjab with 30,000 troops. No one stood in his way except Sada Kaur and Ranjit Singh (her son in law). Ranjit Singh was only 17 when he fought the Afghans and defeated them.

Aur lol😂 bhai religion is not a genetic character , it is a set beliefs if the beliefs gets changed then the identity is also gets changed. There is nothing like hindu blood , sikh blood ya muslim blood. Konse unke adar hindu ke hormones Daud te the bhai 😂😂. Sikh woh hota hai jo guru ki rah pr chale irrespective of their current religion. Blood chahe jo bhi ho isse koi farak nhi padhta. There were many Sikhs who had rajput , bharmin or dalit bloods. But it does not matter. Religion represents the psychology not the biology. Iss duniya ke sabse pehle sikh bhai mardana ji the who was the very first disciple of guru nanak dev ji. And actually he belonged to a muslim family.

The Sikh kaum would remain indebted to you & your entire team for letting the people know about the Sikhs history & sacrifices made by all Hindus, Muslims &:Sikhs of Greater Punjab during foreign aggressions by Afghanis & Duraanis . Really the all time great Empire of Maharaja Ranjit Singh should have been better known as "United States of Punjab" comprising both Punjabs , J&K , Laddhakh, Tibbat, Peshawar, Multan , Sindh , Balochistan , Kangra , Chamba & parts of Afghanistan .

महाराणा रणजीत सिंह जी ने अपने अन्तिम दिनों में यह वसीयत भी की थी, कि विश्व प्रसिद्ध कोहिनूर हीरा, जो विश्व में अब तक सबसे मूल्यवान और सबसे बड़ा हीरा है, इस मन्दिर को दान कर दिया जाये। लेकिन यह सम्भव ना हो सका, क्योकि उस समय तक, ब्रिटिश ने पंजाब पर अपना अधिकार करके, उनकी सभी शाही सम्पत्ति जब्त कर ली थी। वर्ना कोहिनूर हीरा, भगवान जगन्नाथ के मुकुट की शान होता।

Wonderful serial based on true reality showing the valor and prosperity of punjab. Maharaja Ranjit Singh was a great son of our motherland and I request to our govt to add a chapter in education on such a great emperor of India. I really love making of this serial outstanding direction wherein straight and direct story touching all aspect of Kingdom.. but I am little bit upset also as the complete episodes not uploaded I.e. upto 56 episodes.. I request pls upload all the episodes beyond 56 till last one... great serial with great work and direction..... love so much

he was a secular ruler in the real sense unlike the 'gazis', and 'jihadis' of Islamic/-ate empires. unfortunately eminent scholars like Amartya Sen chose a dubious character like Akbar as a model secularist, rather than the Khalsa ruler Maharaja Ranjit Singh.

It would be great if people from every nation could understand this important part of the history, only told by one side. For instance, I am Brazilian and because I saw a movie about the suffragettes, I got to hear about the Sikh being "conqured". Please, add subtitles in English,

Arthur Salles This is very important to know that Sikh finally established their rule in Punjab now part of Pakistan and India. But the sikh ruler Ranjith Singh has a different background. Finally English rule was established in 1857 and English colonists like prtugesse in Brazil left their culture and language.
