The Kalavantin Durg Trek is more difficult than this one. I've done this one few times.. monsoon n otherwise..its like doing the Kalsubai n Harishchandragad treks... moderately difficult... Blessed to be born in Maharashtra and having been exposed to trekking since my teens😊 - especially those Monsoon months - June-Sept is where the trekking to the forts is the most fun. N overnight stays in the forts, rudimentary styles of cooking n taking in the air, the ambience n mostly - being in the clouds. That's what fort treks in Maharashtra are❤ ,! Thanks to this 'early-in-life' passion n exposure - I have enjoyed trekking in Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand n Nepal, and - hiking in Scotland, Ireland as well❤❤ - different topographies, different adventures haha.. Also - the North Eastern Himalayan treks are superb as well.. Anyone here from there..? Sikkim..? Arunachal..? (Sikkim is my worship - my pilgrimage state for each year haha😇) @Korbin..these are treks though - not hikes..(the video one is a day's hike of course..) Descents are of course, more difficult and even more devilish !😃🥳

Harihar is definately not the toughest one. This was my first ever trek! I did find the descent difficult for the first time. but in later treks, it used to be fun. but you hve to be focused. these places are not to fool around.

@@AdityaSathe yes ! In fact, none of the treks should be taken lightly...or else Mommy Nature can take you to task n punish.. As i say - Look toward the top to reach there but: focus on the next step to get there. Same goes for getting down too haha

There are so many Hiking and Trekking Destinations across Pan India but unfortunately due to lack of awareness and poor infrastructure, foreign national You Tube Vloggers and Web Content Bloggers rarely explore such Adventurous places in our Country. Hill Forts in UT Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Jharkhand and West Bengal States has got so much potential to develop into Monsoon and Winter Backpacking destinations which could boost our Indian Tourism Sector. Foreign Tourists often missed out or seldom explore such wonderful offbeat destinations while traveling in India.

There are more than 300 forts sort of like that and of different elevations in Maharashtra. Some are made almost more than 500 or 1000 years ago but reconstructed during era of and by the great king of India Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, mostly in 1600-1700. These forts were used by Maratha army for living purpose, storages, for battle purpose and some for just used as watching towers. These all forts were undefeated due to their geographical position. Those were an engineering Marvel's at that time. You guys should react to the videos of Raigad Fort, Janjira, Sindhudurg fort, Kalavantin and Prabalgad too

what if u go down and some one is coming up? I have been there and at least 2 people will stop u and u have cross them in that narrow space. Nobody can give 100% guarantee that u will survive. and going down backwards is impossible in rainy seasons and on weekends because there will be too much crowd. there will be 2 lane.
