Hearty congratulations Gufran. Luck smiled on him since Prashant More lost golden opportunity while striking in the last board. He actually handed it over on silver platter to Gufran due to the worst strike. Doesn’t matter who won since both played with steel nerves. Both were too good in pocketing straight coins. It’s definitely a top class game to watch since they played very sensibly instead of going for double ideas frequently, which would have been suicidal.

India is full of more young talents but anyway government and their reserved employees will never let them in. Once this trend is going to stop, I am sure we will be competiting internationally rather than locally. Please take this feedback in a positive way.

With your comment, I am sure you have never played any distric or state level carrom yet. Its all about point system. You keep showing up in top 14 to be rewarded as national player, top 5 get chance in international competitions. Yes these are consistent great carrom players thats why they are always in the videos

I did not get why a foul was kept when Prashanth was attempting red in the second board...that too one more fine was kept again when he attempted the red again...can somebody please tell me?

You can see that Killing Instinct in Gufran's eyes. Wow.... That was lethal show by Gufran. Wonderful to watch that kind of approach..... Prashant More was equally playing good. Now Prashant More has also leveled up his skills after that.

No rules followed. Size of striker should be less than hole. Should not hit coin on cut directly. Reverse shots are not allowed

I think to keep fair the stricker should be the same. So both have equal oppurtunity. Not that one will loose because of a rough stricker or win because of it. If it is same, both players have same oppurtunity. Nice game and serious audience and great shots

Gufran is a very talented guy but not a sportive person. Some way or the other he tries to distract his opponent and tries to mess up. His appeal is not at all appreciated at 7:28. Observed his attitude in a couple of matches. Anyways, Prashanth is the world champ.

In 4th board, may be 2 missing by gufran, and in 5th board a very good finishing by Mr gufran. Playing against the world champion is great and it is amazing to see this high quality game, thanks

Hi, you need to join your residence nearest District Carrom Association firstly. Then you can participate / send entry in the State level Carrom Tournaments through your District Carrom Association. caroom rules says that for a strike to be called valid the striker must cross the front of the horizontal line/base line. i am seeing people striking directly backwards which i guess is called thumbing. this makes game look amateurish... the thrill to pot a coin on rewind is on a different level.

please don't get me wrong. they are great players... but from where i see or play, unless you have a command over the rewind strike, you can't win a championship. that makes the tournament more difficult.
