I sung this for my year 11 students at their leavers assembly but changed the lyrics so that it fit a student-teacher dynamic rather than a mother-child dynamic... This brought tears and all the pain again hearing it on Saturday for the very first time. Went to visit my mother (peace be upon her) on 12/1/19 she passed the 13/1/19 night. May Allah have mercy on her, accept her deeds and grant the entrance to Jannah.
