i was a christian some years ago but after talking with some Muslims, long story short alhamdolilah i accepted Islam :) i have since then learn about Tawheed and what was wrong with Christianity. one of the mistakes Christians make is calling upon jesus which include asking him for help,forgiveness or just talking to him which i know to be wrong. but then i hear this nasheed ,i dont know arabic very well but i read the Lyrics. and it seem to me like the words in this song is calling upon prophet Mohammad (may peace be upon him) as if he was present with us or can hear us. so i have a few question for my brothers and sisters in islam who listened to this song. do you believe prophet Mohammad (pbuh) can hear us if we call upon him? are you taking prophet Mohammad (pbuh) as a partner with Allah?? the reason i ask this is because in the song when referring to the prophet (pbuh) it says peace be upon (you) instead of (him) and also with the little Arabic that i learn i found out that Ya in Arabic is only used when calling on Allah or someone who is present with you. this video has over 4,415,276 views most of which are muslims. are we falling in the same trap of shaitan that the christians fell in?? may Allah guide and protect us ahmeen

JazakAllah khair brothers for the reply. brother Najeeb I'm aware of the the meaning of the attahiyaat in salah and it is also supported with hadith so i accept it 1000%. however i can't seem to find any evidence or hadith to support calling upon our prophet(PBUH) anytime in the manner how this song does it, as if our prophet(PBUH) is here with us or can hear us or we are talking to him(PBUH) directly. i would appreciate any help. thats my major concern with this nasheed but i like maher zain other songs like inshaa allah and a few others :)

I feel love for messenger Hazrat Muhammad(Sm),specially the lines "Ya Nabi Salamualaika, Ya Rasul Salamualaika, Ya Habib Salamualaika" I really feel like I am sending my Salam to my beloved person.
