Based on the life of real-life Hero Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, Major, the film, aims to show how this valiant soldier saved the lives of numerous hostages before being martyred by the terrorists who wreaked havoc in the Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai, India on the 26th of November, 2008.
Major, an Indian film, releasing in Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam is produced by Sony Pictures Films India in association with Mahesh Babu's GMB Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. and A+S Movies. It is directed by acclaimed Telugu director Sashi Kiran Tikka and features Adivi Sesh, Sobhita Dhulipala and Saiee Manjrekar.

Mahesh is a great and humble actor..I watched his interview with RK in ABN...really fantastic and positive attitude he showed in that ...simple dialogues..no over acting..no meaningless publicity in the society..i am wondered about his charm in Dookudu,SVSC, and Srimanthudu..but recently his appearance is changed..apparently the age also one of the reason..he looks some week and dry...I hope Mahesh would have been always charming forever !!!!

Adivi Sesh is a great actor but hasn’t had opportunity to show how emotive he can be, and carry a movie solely on his shoulders.. and doesn’t get noticed right for his great skills because he is NOT a Nepotism kid like Allus’ or Ghattamanenis’ or Nandamuris’ families. Telugu Filmdom has not evolved yet beyond that Nepotism NOR will .. But occasionally there comes a chance for such good actors.
