Depend on how the first owner has used it. On an average if the car has done 70000 kms, it would need major replacements like suspension, tyres, clutch plates, all oil changes service .. keep 1 lac buffer for all mentioned above. W10 is a good value for money SUV, very stable on highways .. keep your speed between 80 to 90 and it comes with 6 airbags .. suspensions are very hard but it is required for a big SUV.. if you are getting at a good price go for it

That is what happens naturally when you drive a huge vehicle ;) I have a VW Polo but when I drove my friend's XUV I couldn't resist "bullying" other vehicles (all being smaller in size except the Fortuner)

in city u can reach upto 4th gear as it is smooth even if u r going up in terms of rpm. on city express ways u can reach till 5th gear however 6th gear is usable on highways only as it's advisable to use it above 100 kmh for a longer time.

I just checked the Philippine Mahindra site when I read your comment and damn, what was Mahindra thinking when they featured all those ugly cars in that country? Like seriously they only have this vehicle called the Xylo and two variants of the Enforcer, both are ugly as fuck! I don't think they'd sell well in that country.

well, I would like to enlighten first that parts aren't low quality. parts are pretty flagship. Now about maintenance, yes u need to spend on maintenance and this car deserve it. imagine a car which runs flawless, gives u all advance features in economic cost. it needs to be maintained, and not only this but every car from this segment and ahead. I own W6 model and it doesn't give me any cost unless I do something wrong with it. luckily I have been driving it properly and this car is worth buying for.

Almost no boot space (We can get a cool On-Roof luggage loader for that or even shut the last seats which are rarely used) And that is all I can remember (which I had with my XUV 500) This is a perfect SUV in almost all terms and is worth going for as this is better than many cars EVEN IN 50 Lakh+ Segment .Better than Innova (In ALL terms), Fortuner (In almost all respects except power),Audi Q Series, BMW X Series (Compare features on Carwale or CarDekho if you want proof). This is also Equal to the premiumSUV, Volvo XC 90 and Toyota Land Cruiser. But make a point that a lot of features are crossed on the websites (which are actually there)

Vvinit khanna Innova, man is good in no respect except engine breakdown (that too I am agreeing as you have said!) XUV 500 is a great car and has NO issues except the boot space being less (with all seats up), XUV 500 is a great Off-Roader, good looking car and also has great performance. People simply complain SHIT about ANY car if it is Indian! And go WOW if it is from Japan, US or somewhere else!! Yes, Mahindra's After sales is bad but XUV 500 doesn't need much servicing too (There is a Mahindra Repair Centre just beside my house and have NEVER seen ANY XUV's (exception for accidents) come due to breakdown

+Nikhil Paleti bro I own a tata manza and a Toyota innova my friend circle has 2 xuv and xylo and a Jetta also so what ever I am saying india vs Japanese is with respect to my EXPERIENCES , I agree xuv is good but only for if u want to own it like for 3,4 years but if u want a long lasting and less breakdown go for the Japanese or Germans and when service comes to picture see the Toyota service best in class and customer relationship is up to standards and mahindra service on the other hand is no where near Toyota

Maybe European cars don't Break-Down but are COMPLETELY SHITTY when it comes to strength, the passengers in a German car would die like a dog (What those Assholes used to call us) if they would crash with a Scorpio!! XUV 500 is great in the following where Innova SERIOUSLY LACKS and SUCKS: 1.Off-Roading (Has 2nd Highest Offroad Titles, after Scorpio) 2. Powerful and refined version of the Jewel (mHawk, which has always delivered the best power and performance) 3. Great comfort and Leg-room in 1st and 2nd row 4.Fully feature packed .Lacks only unessential features like Leather Gear Knob (XUV's Glass-Chrome Gear Knob is better looking) and few others like LSD or Differential Lock (Which 50+Lakh Segment cars have) Innova is also good in the following where XUV lacks: 1. All-Over usage (6 Seats + Little boot) 2. Service Centre Reliability
