Nice playing. Mahler used timpani quite liberally in his massively orchestrated symphonies. The timpanist(s) often have plenty to keep them busy.

It was one of his favorite instruments, so it does not surprise me! (Others are trumpet and harp, if I recall correctly to MTT's documentary on Mahler's first Symphony!)

Yes! Correct, many times Mahler's Symphonies include 2 Timpanists🎵

@@nightshockplayz5894 I greatly enjoyed that MTT piece. One thing he and his writers got wrong was about Mahler's voice, describing it as thin and nasal. In reality, Mahler had a deep and resonant baritone voice, described by those who knew and worked with him as stentorian, room-filling and demanding of your attention. People were often surprised to hear that big voice coming from such a small man.

@@nightshockplayz5894 from listening to his symphonies I would also say that he liked french horns, a couple of his symphonies also have 6 or more french horn parts.

Deserves more attention! Mahler's 5th is only knowm by it's 4th movement, but the 5th is SO good as well! The whole piece is, tbh.

I disagree, the intro or the first movement is well known as all the second movement

why is the roll written as a trill?
@JesusRiveraPercusion
@JesusRiveraPercusion 2 жыл бұрын
Some times composers write Trill instead of Roll maybe because Trill is not really measured like the roll on a snare drum and they just need a sustained note in timpani.

Repent and trust in Jesus. we deserve Hell for our sins. For example lying, lusing, saying God's name as a cuss word and stealing our just some examples of sin which we can all admit to doing at least one of those. For our sin we deserve death and Hell, but there is a way out. Repent anf trust in Jesus and you will be saved. Repentence is turning from sin. So repent and trust in Jesus. He will save you from Hell, and instead give you eternal life in Heaven. John 3:16 Romans 3:23❤😊❤😊❤😊
