The one thing I hate about most newer trucks is that they've been slowly getting rid of the pull chain/ rope. The best part of trucking is pulling that thing when the kids pump their arms.

@JGtruckSpotting They're standard on trucks here and in Europe, but most European trucks have a small electro-pneumatic air horn rather than a straight air horn. Volvo used to use those on the 1997-2003 VNs. You can also order the trucks with the bigger Chrome air horns too in the US.

The Kenworth quad horns are Hadley H02101As (low) and H02102As (high), the ones on the White-GMC WG64T are the Hadley H00977 (low) and H00978 (high).

But what I find about the Orange is very simple is that they are in some cases so very loud you can actually have your hearing taken out! And that's no joke either but with these new dual sounding air horns the ones that you actually put together or that are already put together is one horn sounds like the other horn that's about right. But the last time I heard something like that was years ago and I was traveling down the highway here in Seattle when I heard a dual horn air horn I didn't know what it was. I thought the one sounded a little sick but that's the way the newer ones are now. But when you have a semi truck that has a horn that sounds like a train then you got a problem. You wouldn't even know what it whether you're hearing a train on the road or one on the track. But what I found about the new dual horn air horns actually those two horn air horns have been out since 1973 or maybe 74 when I first heard them. Because basically they've been around for a long time it's the newer ones are putting out now. And besides that those horns can be interchangeable later on. But it's but from what I know is that do a horn air horns are just the craziest thing in the world. You put them on the truck you hardly notice anything. But what a KZfaqr said here a while back when I first noticed it is how in the world can it all come out to be. Because basically they sound alike. But the way those horns sound alike together it's very simple once you put them together once they're put together and basically they're woven into one horn that tells you one thing that's why you can't even tell. But I can tell I can tell by the way they sound.

One thing I've noticed about semi horns they're very loud in some cases. However, that last one you just played basically that's when the new dual horned air horns basically it's one horn that sounds like the other horn you put them both together and that's what they sound like together all in one horn. Kind of remind you of going to a pro college basketball arena and you hear their horns like that and that's how they sound. And that's why semi-horns sound the same way but with a lower pitch. As a matter of fact I know a friend of mine who just wrote in a semi truck years ago she says that's her favorite sound. Is the dual horn air horn and she loves that.

You can easily replace the horn. I recommend getting a good sized Grover (The 1601 is a nice one. The 24" and up ones sound great too) which you can order from Air Horns Of Texas.

Air horn Part Numbers- Both 2007 Internationals - Grover 1680 2007 Volvo - Hadley H00640YS 2005 Freightliner - Hadley H02001FP (2) 2002 Freightliner - Hadley H00978RA (2) 1995 White-GMC - Hadley H00977AJ (Low) & H00978P (High) Hadley uses different designations to specify which OEM that the horn was sold too as well as packaging and other features; usually weather shield design. For example, the 978P and 978RA will sound the same by themselves, but the 978P was sold to Volvo and the 978RA was sold to DTNA for Freightliner trucks. There are also mass market versions of the horns in this video, and they usually have Hadley branding as opposed to an OEM's.

Doctor I think you're right I think we'll see you're about to see is very true but these teenagers like to get you to blow your Horn but the reason why they want to do it is to see how loud the horns are so that they can really realize that hey they're going to keep doing this too much and one of these days they're going to get their hearing blown out. And that's not a joke it's very serious that's so funny teenagers wind up deaf. When I really mean is they could wind up losing their hearing all together and it's not funny I had a friend of mine almost lose his hearing to allowed semi-horn I'm surprised he hasn't lost it already.

Yes. Unfortunately. Nanny government, in their ever knowing wisedom, believe that less accidents will happen if you keep both hands on the wheel at all times. Even some of our lights and radio controls are on the steering wheel. Also, bonus fact, most of the trucks have two sets of horns; the big, loud air horns, and the little 'beep-beep' ones that are on cars.
