It’s unfair to ask the Princess of Wales to reveal the of her condition that meant she had to undergo abdominal surgery, according to one royal expert.
Speaking on royal talk show Palace Confidential, The Daily Mail’s Diary Editor Richard Eden says the calls online and elsewhere amount to bullying.
‘It’s made me very uncomfortable and there’s no reason she should feel bullied into giving more details,’ he tells the programme. ‘If she wants to, at a later point, fine, that’s up to her. But she shouldn’t feel that she has to.’
Eden is part of a panel this week that includes the Daily Mail’s Royal Editor Rebecca English and the paper’s Editor at Large Richard Eden. They also discuss the controversy around the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s trip to Jamaica and ask the question: should Prince Andrew remarry Sarah Ferguson?

It makes me so angry, Re: Princess of Wales surgery! We as the public, expect and demand, privacy when it comes to all things medical, WHY should it be any different for her? It is her right to expect privacy! I hope that she recovers quickly, and is soon back to her normal cheery, happy self! She is so good for the RF and for the UK in general! LEAVE KATE ALONE! As a nurse... protecting a patients right to privacy is part of my core. My opinion about Catherine keeping her medical info private will therfore come as no surprise. I hope she doesn't feel any pressure to share anything. Good for her for protecting herself and shame to anyone who tries to get her personal info. God bless her family while she recovers.

So Megzy skipped the.. let's pretend Harry is a legend, Awards Ceremony... and skipped her sick kids at home in Montecito to instead fly to Jamaica to show off her new designer gown at the Bob Marley movie opening (in dangerous crime and poverty ridden territory... without SECURITY)! My son in law died with a malignant melanoma. Was a mole on his leg. By the time he finally went to the dr the cancer had spread. It was a terrible time for my daughter and her family. 9 yrs later the loss is still very raw. So pleased Sarah’s has been found early. I wish her well.

Australia has the highest incidence of melanoma in the world. One person is diagnosed with melanoma every 30 minutes, and one person dies from melanoma every 6 hours in Australia. Our beach lifestyle is literally a killer. So Fergie was fortunate to have found hers. So many Aussies get them on their backs from sunbathing and they stay undetected because of their location.

Were the melodramacito duo actually invited. She has a habit of turning up uninvited to events. The paramount boss looked like he couldn't get away from them quick enough. So it would seem that this could be another bullshit PR stunt from their team. He and his wife really looked uncomfortable to be photographed with the melodramacito duo. His wife had her arm in a position so markle couldn't get so close, and he had her hand and was walking away in a way that looked like he wanted to get as far away from markle and henry as he could as soon as he could. Catherine should absolutely not give any details on her medical condition. Abdominal surgery for a female can be so vast and complex. Its her private business. End of story. Yes, certain diagnoses can be put out there for screening reasons like breast, prostate, colon, skin. Not every diagnosis and procedure done are meant to be shared with the world.

I’m a thousand percent with Richard regarding the Princess of Wales. She has every right to want to keep her condition private. No one has a “right to know”. While she is a very important person, she is not a political, world leader whose health condition may need to be known. Leave her alone! On another note, as a woman who has had very serious “abdominal” surgery she may be facing a deal of psychological depression that’s quite difficult for a while. To those who think otherwise, Back off!!!! As for the King’s condition being shared, it’s a different situation entirely and opening up about it is good. Men often are quite uncomfortable talking about it. Ditto for Sarah. Love your program!!! ❤

He was a valued / trusted friend of Princess Diana and is great to listen to. I enjoy Richard Eden & Rebecca English as they can sometimes have a slightly different personal take on things which is interesting and respectfully done. I have to say - I just LOVE Rebecca English. Everything she says I very, VERY rarely disagree with. I've come to admire Queen Camilla as a Feminist because of Rebecca's reporting. And I wish that more would come out about the most underrated feminist of our era, Catherine, Princess of Wales. The public should respect Catherine’s privacy. She has already been a good sport for sharing moments of when she laboured and gave birth to presenting to the public all her newborns. I think there are certain times people should be allowed to face their circumstances in private especially when they are vulnerable in recovery. She may be a good sport again to share her experience. However she is entitled to keep private during her healing. And in my own opinion, I think she is doing this for her school age children. Hats off to her for protecting her family.

💥Removal of titles, removal from the line of succession, removal from counsellor of state... these do not need to be seen as reactionary actions on the part of the Palace, but rather official acceptance of Harry & Meghan's wishes: to live an independent life, separate from and in opposition to the monarchy. Their actions over the past 5 years reaffirm these professed desires - namely, they do not wish to be ambassadors of the British Monarchy. In fact, they claim to be thriving survivors of it. So no, the Palace need not fear enacting their official removal. It would be perfectly in line with Harry & Meghan's messaging & could be seen as giving them what they desire: true independence unshackled to a 'hateful' institution.

I’ve been thinking, it’s going to look better ( and those two are all about how it looks. When their titles get revoked they’ll be on every news channel.) if parliament does this. King Charles, as the head of the Church of England, has to be open to forgiving Harry. ( the biblical story of the prodigal son, comes to mind. I think if parliament doesn’t they’ll have less to whaaa about.

The Edinburghs' past difficulties with pursuing a private, commercial life as well as doing Royal duties are well documented, and remembered by many of us. Enormous credit to the late Queen and her officials for allowing the experiment to go ahead, but it quite clearly didn't work, and they had to choose between The Firm and their "outside" interests. Luckily for the country, they chose The Firm, and they have been stalwart supporters ever since, quietly and efficiently going about their duties with grace and good humour. All this, of course, is why the Family offered her grandson's wife the Duchess of E as a mentor, which was arrogantly and very rudely thrown back in their faces, with the results that we all know. It also explains the late Queen's insistence that for her grandson and his odious wife it was either all in, or all out, because it had been shown conclusively that half-and-half simply didn't work.

They choose to work for the firm when both their companies went bankrupt. Andrew had companies while HRH in the carribbeans before he step down. Fergie has a company call Dutchess Inc. Sells all her books with her title. Both , of them, has many bankruptcies

@@BookmavenUSA At the beginning of their marriage, the current D&D of Edinburgh (the Earl and Countess of Wessex as they were then styled) attempted to combine their work for The Firm (the Royal Family) with careers in the media (the Earl) and PR (the Countess) It was obvious after a while that the experiment simply did not work for them, the Firm, or the country nor the Commonwealth. They gave up the attempt, and from then worked full time for the Monarchy. The result has been a triumph. They are hard working, popular, and very effective, even if their work doesn't attract the high profile of the more senior members of the Firm. The obvious failure of their brave experiment was the reason that the late Queen told her grandson and his wife that they either had to be all in, or all out of the Firm. They were given a year to decide, and they chose all out. What was not expected was their very unwelcome and spiteful attempts to trash the Monarchy and the family at every available opportunity.
