Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s trip to Nigeria could spark a series of international quasi-royal tours for the couple. This is a source of ‘great concern’ argues the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden, citing ‘mutterings in diplomatic circles’ and highlighting the risk the Sussexes have in being manipulated by foreign governments, which would be hugely embarrassing for King Charles.

Harry swoops into London and creates drama in a matter of 2 days - posting a statement that his father, The KING, has other priorities so won't be seeing his son. Poor little victim. NOT. Come to find out from the KING, he offered the royal residence to Harry and Harry refused. Also, the King received no invite to meet or to go to Invictus event. INSTEAD, insidious Harry invites Diana's siblings to the event as a way to stick it to dear old dad. Strip their titles and remove him from Invictus. He's allowed Megain to take it over and turn it into her private runway fashion show, with the wounded veterans trailing behind her. Despicable.

I honestly hope he will lose the Invictus Games. The Veteran's deserve the honor and respect of Games. But it's turned into a Harry and Meghan fashion show. And I could be wrong but weren't they paid for being there , and everything was paid for. Supposedly only Harry was involved in the Games but both the King and the Prince also. But they are conveniently forgotten. But I would think maybe they should get a nice hotel room, plane ride to and from , and that Country's security. But if he sponsored the Games why should he get compensated or Meghan either. They should do it for nothing. And as far as that award Prince William received is given to the Prince of Wales. Prince Philip handed down to the next King to be Prince Charles. Therefore Prince William is the next King in line. Harry isn't the next King in line. So everyone saying Harry should have gotten the award , and feels sorry for poor poor Harry. It was never meant to go to him.

There is no way that Meghan looked glamorous. Virtually every outfit was totally inappropriate, showed far too much skin and many of the dresses dragged on the ground looking dishevelled. In addition to that she was extremely rude at times, but especially at the first school visit where she turned her back and dragged Harry away when a school teacher and two pupils were in the middle of talking to her and offering her eats. I have seldom seen such boorish behaviour. You add the dress with no sides, no bra and bare shoulders and it was a study in how not to behave as a Royal. She disrespected the Nigerian people and her hosts. As for Harry on their last outing being pulled along between two Nigerian men who were trying to keep him upright while he staggered around like a drunk or someone who was high as a kite - unbelievable!

What the heck is Richard K smoking??? Meghan did most certainly NOT present a good image at all. Her dress was inappropriate and disrespectful to the country, to the school she visited and how she conducted herself by turning away while women were speaking with her and presenting things to her. A young girl actually cringed and didn’t want anything to do with her. I have been to a garden party at the Palace for the centenary of the National Trust. It was so hot and nowhere to sit except for the grass. We were lucky as there was not a huge number of people there, probably about a 1,000. The food and drinks were amazing. If you get to go, make sure you have eaten as the portions are dainty. It was a great day, and we really enjoyed everything so much and an honour for us all. A few chosen people were chosen to go and have tea with the Queen and King Charles in a cordoned area. We were able to walk around the grounds and sit on a couple of benches placed in beautiful gardens the size of a park. Mobile phones were not as good, and we were not allowed 🚫 to take photographs. It was such a shame because a few pictures would be nice to look back on. The invertation was beautiful in white with gold embellishments. I count myself as being very lucky to have been to one of the famous garden parties.

I have gone through exactly the same in my family (I am now 84) My husband died from Cancer my second son didn’t visit him or attend his funeral. My husband was fine until all this happened in our family. I can’t stress how identical in every way what has happened to this family happened to us. I have not seen my 2 Grandchildren for 13 years. He married a divorcee who changed everything in our family . I can only assume unfounded jealousy was the cause of her doing what she did.

I didn't hear Invictus mentioned once in all the clips I saw of the Montecito Mudslingers in Nigeria. The delinquency was not about the check. The letter said there were missing documents, tax returns, operational reports, etc. This has been swept under the carpet for some reason. I would love to see the tax returns, and learn how many millions of pounds went to the Sussexes, and how much went to charitable activities.

The Governor of the state Gavin Newsome came out to categorically say it was a clerical error on the part of the state. All necessary docs were sent in 2023. That's why the issue was corrected in a day. Nobody asks for your tax returns and I'm sure you will blow a .... if someone asked for yours. Why do you think you have a right to view theirs? To make a point, Harry did not fly 6,000 miles to see his father. He flew to attend his own events. If you have a real desire to see your father, you arrange that time separately, and come when the person you want to visit has downtime. It’s not hard, it’s how we all visit family. How many of us just arrive and expect our family to drop work and responsibilities? Everyone is busy, let alone if you’re the King AND having cancer treatment. I’m dumbfounded that people have said they think the King should have made time. How about Harry makes time? I was fortunate to attend a Royal garden party in 2010 on my retirement and at that time it was made quite clear that no phones were allowed to be switched on so no way could you take photographs. It was the most wonderful experience and one of the things that really surprised me was how tiny the then Queen was. As Richard said a real honour and one of the highlights of my life. The photograph we sneakily took on the way out in the inner courtyard still has pride of place.

I've seen an interview with some Nigerian women who were less than impressed with MM. Can't remember where I saw it exactly but worth a watch. Also the "hospital" Harry visited was a setup by all accounts. No medical equipment, just some men laying around in fresh scrubs on beds. That's worth a watch too... esp the "conversation" H had with one "patient" who had no time for him, to the point H was definitely miffed by the end of it.

The Governor of California said everything was in on time sent in December & they've filed on time every year since it's inception so they're not two years delinquent. Yes she did it was left empty and I think the late Queen was heartbroken when they left. They gave them money and paid for security. They sent Christmas and birthday presents over to them. So when they did the Oprah interview it was a complete shock to her and Prince Charles and everyone. Prince Philip died the next month after the interview and the Queen died a year later 💔 the upset probably quickened their deaths.

How can anybody say Harry’s wife conducted herself magnificently? She wore the most inappropriate clothes. She ignored children who were trying to present her with a present and then dragged Harry away. She was late for a planned schedule. As for Harry when he called the Nigerian his in-laws when he hadn’t even tried to meet his actual in-laws was an insult to the Markles and disgusting. It shows the scag he actually is.

What planet is Richard Kay inhabiting? I did not see M conducting herself 'magnificently'. Her clothing was excruciatingly inappropriate, she was rude, she was fake, she was pushy, and - worst of all - she made the entire trip all about herself. Her supposed Nigerian ancestry, her 'homecoming', her roles as a wife, mother, feminist role model, etc. True royal work is about shining a light on the causes and people they are visiting, it is never about publicising themselves.

Not to mention her unbelievable claim that she is 43% Nigerian. In 2015 she claimed to be 40% Maltese and grifted a trip there courtesy of Elle magazine and the Maltese government!

Exactly, while her outfits might be OK for a California beach, they were highly inappropriate for a conservative country. Magnificent is the last word to use for Meghan's behaviour. IMO.

I am in total disagreement with Richard Kay on Meghan "conducting herself magnificently" in Nigeria. Even he knows he's lying by the wringing of his hands. If a full display of naked shoulders, in every outfit she wore in Nigeria is a indicator? She was embarrassingly bare. In a country that requires women to dress modestly. They kept giving her clothes, but no. She wouldn't put on the garments.
