Salaam to Manohari da for the fab saxophone rendition! I had read in an interview how he was livid on seeing the way Dev Anand was enacting the song - playing the sax lying on the ground, etc! He had said this was the most difficult piece he had ever played

In the entire song, a thing to ponder upon is that Kishore Da effortlessly alternates between low and high notes and also between his baritone and soft voice. Who the hell other than our beloved Kishore Da can do that, I ask! What significance does 'training in singing' hold if an 'untrained' LEGENDARY SINGER renders it irrelevant?

This song belongs to 2 people besides LP. The one is The Great Kishor da. The other is The great Saxophone player Manohari Singh. Just listen to the piece of saxophone from 4.38 ... it requires great breathing strength besides playing skills. It is hard to believe that Manohari da was a patient of asthma !! Great people of those times 🫡
