I remember late 80's era & 90's b4 the arrival of CD players, songs were played on Decks with woofers.. Music stores would play new releases over deck so as to attract customers.. and that's how we would many a time come to know about latest releases.. And when Aashiqui songs were released, every lane that we would pass by I think there would not have been a single store where these songs were not played.. Not only Aashiqui but this would happen everytime during the launch of Saajan, Phool aur kaante, Qayamat se Qayamat tak, Love letter etc.. such was the charisma of these songs those days.. Those were the days.. those were the trends.. now everybody listens music of their choice over earphones.. And those days loud music free of cost, common & inspired by the choice of masses..

Those are all unforgettable days, none of which can compare to my youth. I have listened to this song over a thousand times. We purchased our first Sony tape recorder, and I used to visit the music center to record this song. The charge was 14 rupees. What a marvelous song it was! Sometimes it would bring tears to my eyes. Those were truly golden days. My birthday 21/May/1971.

Very true ..the memory of that ashiquw poster is still so fresh in my mind ..doesn't feel like 30 hrs have gone by ...unbelievable, really ..how time flies ... within no time our life is almost over... I was in 8th std ..when this movie came...used to see this song in chitrahar and would wonder omg who is that hero with such weird long face and hair.. I knew anu agarwal by her face and not by her name back them ..cuz she was a known face in many TV ads back then ..

I am a huge fan of 90's Hindi Film songs as it is my whole childhood. But Aashiqui has a special place in my heart. It is my earliest memory of listening to a Hindi music album. I remember the old cassette of Aashiqui and my Philips Tape recorder. Wonderful memories! 😁

It was the summer of 90s. It was the age of VCR and Tape recorder. We used to rent video cassettes from video shop to watch movies. We used to buy audio cassette to hear song. Ashiqui was the first movie we watched in our new VCR player. Those were the best days of my life.
