I really rate this Margiela line, my favourite in the designer realm. Whispers in the Library used to be my fave but it became somehow metallic as it aged. So now my top 3 are: Jazz Club, Bubble Bath and Matcha Meditation.

The choice to stick to the "replica" concept was honestly very smart for Maison Margiela. It prevents flankers and promotes creativity/unique accords. It really sets them apart as a designer fragrance brand

My faves are beach walk, by the fireplace and jazz club.

Lipstick On was truly wonderful, to me was the exact smell of an old lipstick! Gutted that is discontinued!

Lipstick On - just finished a bottle, such a shame they discontinued this one. My favorite lipstick scent, doesn't smell old / vintage. Everything about it is just perfect. Ladies, get yourself a sample if you get a chance and you will enjoy it 100%

Whispers in the Library works really well on me. Jazz Club is probably my favorite. Can't do By The Fireplace after wildfires in my area a couple years ago. Driving through the burn after it rained... it smells the same! They all have amazing performance too. I have an old bottle of Moonwalk I never wear, too soapy.

Matcha meditation was my gateaat into niche fragrances, so ill akways have a special place in my heart for it!

I will never get over the fact that I didn't get Lipstick On before it was discontinued...

I was gifted Lazy Sunday Morning & although it wouldn't be my 1st choice, l enjoy it. Coffee Break, By The Fireplace & Beach Walk appeal but not sure l would spend the $215 AUD for the short longevity.

I think this is my favorite designer brand. I really like the philosophy behind the replica line. I agree with you, By the Fireplace is my favorite from them. I wonder what are your thoughts about the newest release from them, From the Garden.

Great list! I layer lemon tree with DG devotion. I have about 6...love on a date, the rain one is a nice freshy but i guess didnt do well. I like jazz club and i wear BTF to bed.

I have never tried Lipstick On but I’ve heard that Sensuous Stars by Estée Lauder has some similarities. It has a kind of lipstick-y makeup vibe from the orris. The plum and lavender in the opening is really nice too. Not a dupe but it might scratch that itch. I love it anyway!

Sad you didnt mention Dancing on the Moon, another black bottle. Such a gorgeous scent, so glad I was able to grab a bottle before it was discontinued.

There are so many I enjoy from this line but it gets overwhelming. From the Garden is lovely but waiting for warmer weather. My next pickups will likely be Coffee Break and Autumn Vibes. Also interested in When the Rain Stops to add to my freshies.

I’m weird!! I’m just finally starting to like matcha after a bad experience at Dunkin ( I’m in MA 🤷‍♀️) ha well the Matcha from there was gross! It was a mix of grass and 🐟 smell! I tried it again from Starbucks it was great!! But I’m afraid of this matcha perfume!!?

Sebastian, I would never thought you out of all people would miss one great product from this house. "Across Sands" the black bottle edition. And by the way, I manage to pick up "Wicked Love" and "Flying" here in Europe in December. Nonetheless, great Top selection!

Oh yes Whispers in the Library is a favorite of mine. Thank god I have a backup bottle and I have almost half full bottle as well. So I think I'm all set with WITL. Thanks for a great video.

I haven't really gotten into this brand. I received a bottle of Jazz Club in a GQ subscription box along with a sample of by the Fireplace, but they are the only ones I've tried. They're ok, but they wear pretty thin. That has kind of turned me off because I like strong fragrances. I may check out a few more, though. I do like the sound of Under the Stars and Whispers in the Library. Thanks for sharing!

Autumn Leaves

I have "Under the Lemon Tree" and "By the Fireplace" and for some reason I'm just not interested in sampling or buying any more bottles. To me the frags are too expensive for what you get. If they were each $40 I would have the entire collection. To me that's all they are worth.

Yes, Jazz Club also doesn't intrigue me much either, just a like, not a love. It has some cononut-like nuance, which seems borderline clashing to my nose.

There’s one bottle of Whispers in the Library EDT on Amazon . I just got a reserve bottle 😅

My favorite is By the Fireplace. It's the best from the line and it's just perfection in my opinion. And I can't stand Jazz Club. I just don't get the hype around that scent. Coconut booze and tobacco? No thank you.

Every fragrance I like from them gets discontinued. They get rid of coffee break and bring out from the garden. Who is asking to smell like tomato?

Very hyped up and overpriced. No longevity at all. Owned by L'Oreal and worth half what they are charging. Pleasant scents but zero sillage no depth. Much better high end fragrances out there

I hate the quality of MM! The concentration is the weakest ever. Their fragrances last 15 mins and that 15 mins isn't even a strong 15 mins.
