Art class in the 1960s we made these and they are still just as beautiful today, I love the fact this wonderful flower is still being made today, thank you so much for sharing and reminding us of it's Beauty

Yo tengo 56 años y a mí si me tocaron estaba pequeña y recuerdo que con esas flores adornaban los carros de los novios en las bodas y eran parte de la decoración de la iglesia y de la mesa de honor y les ponían unas ramitas verdes que no recuerdo el nombre por ahora

so pretty and beautiful! but it will even look pretty if you put two different color tissue papers! and yeah I wanna tell you that you can make two of these and attach them together with the help of string! I did and it turned out to be very pretty!

Use to make these in the '60s for decorations for weddings. At that time you could get colored Kleenex. Decorated many cars.

Guess what this is how I used make tissue flowers when I was 8 - 10yrs old. By the way I am now 79yrs old !!!! We didn’t have toilet paper, that was that wide enough & we didn’t have paper towels. We used Kleenex, which was very soft & had 4 layers (so the layers pulled apart easy & they were soft). After we pulled the layers apart we used lipstick to color the edges, didn’t have colored markers then either LOL 😂 When I was a little older, I taught my younger sister 👩 how to make them & by then we had colored Kleenex. We no longer have colored Kleenex or toilet paper because the dyes in them R not good for us !!!!! But we made them just like you R doing NOW.

I learned to make this in my second grade class in the 80’s. My teacher used color tissue paper instead of regular tissue paper.
