How I wished I was growing up during that era. The world was moving at a much slower pace than today. How I yawned as the years passed through.

whenever I listen to Mai Moua's songs, it saddens me that our Hmong singers career is always so short, due to the lack of support from the Hmong community or because they got married and stopped making music. I felt that talent such as her is a gift from Heaven for our Hmong people, and perhaps, to the world, because their music speaks to the soul. They come into the musical scene at the right decade with the right songs and the right messages that touch people internally and eternally. By shortening their musical career, I felt as if the gift has been taken away too soon, denying the Hmong people and the world of this gift. Like a treasure that has been stolen and a destiny that never fully realized...which is to bad, because talents like this only comes once or twice every one or two decades. And, the same can be said about singers such as Pov Thoj, Maly Vue, and a few others.

I miss everybody so much. All of our loved ones that has passed away. All I can do is listening to this song and remembering the old 90s days when everyone was still around 😢

I'm still listening to this in 2024. RIP Maiv Muas.
