Happy Birthday Don. Thanks for the tour. We’re doing 26 days on the Enchantment. It only cost $400 more than our balcony room. We dont usually do mini suites. We dont think the extra money is necessary. Except the fact that we’ll be on this ship for 26 days. The extra room will be a blessing. Hope your birthday is very special.

Tony - I too am sensitive to noise. I never travel without earplugs and have found swimmer's earplugs sold at pharmacy stores to work great. And Happy Birthday!

Mini suites are fine, but the lack of a cover on the balcony was bothersome.

Mini is a very interesting word The Sofa is in the same room as the bed By using the word Mini They get away with calling a Balcony Cabin a Suite

We Are booked on Majestic Princess for January 2022 (Mexican Riviera) and we just called Princess to add insurance (what they called PVP plan) … well, apparently this insurance is NOT available for Quebec residents nor NewYork state residents, Puerto Rico, Mexico. It also seems complicated to get details about PCR test (free or with fees) on disembarking day (when flying back home to Canada). It may be 150$ (i guess USD) for not fully vaccinated and free of charge for fully vaccinated (test is done on board, in their medical center) …but Princess agent was realllllly not sure. Any feedback ?

That room looks extremely small. Could the balcony be any smaller? No. The balcony rooms on a Carnival cruise are bigger than this, with the exception of a bathtub in the bathroom. No way would I pay extra for Don's current room.

I sailed on Majestic in 2019 and was upgraded to a mini-suite but I had a extended balcony which was good but I would never pay extra for this cabin. I found the shower above the bathtub to be problematic during heavy seas as you are required to step into and out of the bathtub with not much to hold onto. The shower curtain was also difficult and tended to direct the water onto the bathroom floor. I can see that families with young children could appreciate the bathtub but I wouldn't recommend a mini-suite on Princess for anyone who is not steady on their feet.
