@irvinetitanium that is the type of thing I hear from people who have abused people all the time. She only needs to do what she needs in order to heal. For some people that does not include ever speaking to the abuser again. For some people it means going and telling them that they as the victim are letting go of the pain, but not forgiving the abuser. For some people it is telling the abuser that they forgive them. The only thing that matters is what the victim needs to do in order to heal. To me it looks like she has done that and formed good and healthy relationships with the non-abusive men in her life.

After suffering the abusive family I was born into & 4 abusive men later, I’m still suffering & then to top it off, in June I had an operation to remove cancer. Please don’t preach lies to people. I did nothing to deserve such awful abuse, that’s caused me to have mental illness. If there was a god, he would never ever want me to have suffered this sh*tty life. I’m a very proud Atheist that’s still standing on earth all by myself, no partner, no family, no support… while your supposed ‘god’ watches on. The only thing that’s saved me is ‘ME’… that’s proof enough that no god exists. And please don’t feed me a ridiculous reason why I’ve had to suffer for so long. End of story!!!

Let say he was an abusive drunk who barely had food on the table, the raise-part is highly doubtable. I have a female friend who refuse to forgive her mother after her mother disowned her after she was badley beaten up and raped at 14 years old wish made her miss large chunks of her little sister's last years as she lost the fight against cancer. Today she is 31 and despite her mother nopw trying to make amends, she don't want her mother in her life as she has caused to much pain. So parents doesn't get a free out of jail-card just for being parents.

This girl did what I wasn't able to do, when I was 15. I finally escaped at 17 after a brutal beating in my junior year in H.S. to my brother's home 8 hrs away. I finished my Senior year away from my parents. I worked and supported myself without anyone's help after I graduated. I am a survivor. I later forgave my parents and even financially supported them and took care of them when they were sick. I am so happy for this beautiful girl who got the help and support she definitely deserves. God bless these honorable good men.
